Numerous Muslims from Ahl al-Sunnah will claim that secondary sources are required to comprehend the Qur'an entirely. From this, they will claim that the Qur'an is not detailed and we need secondary sources to know about Abu Lahab. Alas, they won't care about the message, but the person. The message that we can get from these verses is that your and my wealth won't be of any value before God, merely our deeds are of great importance to him. Our obedience is that will matter to our Lord. Many names are mentioned in the Qur'an, does it mean I've to flip through some books to know their life history?
