Title: The first Muslim
Post by: zara on October 24, 2015, 09:09:08 AM
Assalamu Alaikum,

When the prophets in the Quran say they are the first to surrender in verses like;7.143,6.14,and 6.163, are they just referring to being the first in their community?

Yes, it means the first in their community. The verse about Muhammad being the first to surrender also says "and I am not of the idolaters." This signals that he was the first among those particular idolaters to surrender. :)

Yes it is what mia666 said that Prophets Musa and MOHAMMAD were the first believers as they were
first to be conferred messengership on them and all the other believers were added to become Ummah.
