Dear Brother Joseph
As Sala Mualikum . We are observing in Muslim community that people prescribe for sacrificing animals for giving birth a new child .
They prescribe for a birthing a male child two goats to be slaughtered and to be distributed to the needy or festival among the neighbors and relatives . For giving birth a female child 1 goat is sectioned . My question is Quran prescribe this type of practice ? If yes then what will be the poor family who has no capacity to buy the goats . It is very hard for me to believe that Quran prescribe this type of practice which may create the force income to do this practice for the poor . Or any general practice Quran never prescribe different for the rich and poor like prayer . Pls take me out off the dark .
Thank you.
