فَمَنْ حَاجَّكَ فِيهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ :)
فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءَنَا وَأَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَنِسَاءَنَا وَنِسَاءَكُمْ وَأَنفُسَنَا وَأَنفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَل
لَّعْنَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ
3:61
But whoever disputes with you in this matter after what has come to you of knowledge, then say: Come let us call our sons and your sons and our women and your women and our near people and your near people, then let us be earnest in prayer, and pray for the curse of Allah on the liars.

Salam All, I do not know what was th outcome of this Mubahila but I wonder how does Allah say to bring their sons & women for talk while the Prophet did not have sons. But I thought Abnayakum means both sons & daughters. As per Ahadith the prophet was reported to have taken Ali, Fatima and
Hasan & Hussain alongwith him to this Mubahila with Christians.

the verse does not seem like its talking about only sons of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). As another verse states no one is his son from mankind. As he was not granted sons but only daughters. But it is suggesting the sons of the muslims and the sons of the others. Even in english its "our" sons

"...Do not argue / enter into controversies about them except with an argument / matter clear / obvious (zahir)"This wisdom / guidance is also inferred in the following verse where it is intimated that believers should
only be concerned with information that they is clearly and readily given.

"They are asking you concerning the Spirit (Arabic: ruhi). Say: The Spirit is by command of my Lord (Arabic: ruh min-amr), and of knowledge you have been vouchsafed but little."Therefore, to ask unnecessary questions or to draw unnecessary inferences in matters which God has not expounded is arguably, an unwarranted approach from a Quranic perspective.
As I trust that you will appreciate, God does not run out of words (31:27) and
if the details
were absolutely necessary for mankind's guidance,
they would have arguably been narrated and expounded.
