Title: Verse numbering in OT and NT

Salaam,

I would like to know if the book:chapter:verse numbering system is standard and consistent across all versions of OT and NT available today just as we now have with the Quran?

Hello Student,

In regards to verses, yes they are standard... well nearly. Sometimes the heading of the Hebrew Bible (OT) in occasionally in some translations are considered a verse in itself, therefore the chapter will vary one verse number.
