As Salamu Alaikum.
Would you please help me to understand the meaning of baʿūḍatan (2:26). In most of the translations it is described as mosquito/gnat. I Didn't find the word in Lane's or Badawi & Haleem's or Omar's dictionary.
Salam.

peace,
Did you look up the right root?
From: http://www.studyquran.co.uk/PRLonline.htm
= Ba-Ayn-Dad = Gnats, mosquitoes, bitten, annoyed or molested by gnats or mosquitoes. Dividing into parts or portions, which are distinct or separate from each other. Something or someone. An impossible or difficult thing imposed on someone.
