Title: An additional Day of Judgement - Consolidated Lexicons - Translation
Post by: Orange on December 20, 2012, 02:44:00 PM
Dear Brother Joseph,

Peace be on you, Hope you are in good health.  There are two questions and two recommendations where I would really want your views:

Question 1:

This is with reference to

http://quransmessage.com/forum/index.php?topic=87.0

In your respected view how would you answer to the following question:

What is the purpose of a resurrection and Day of Judgement if we only 'face His law of just recompense' and 'As you sow, so shall you reap'? It sounds like the results of doing bad deeds will be your punishment and the results of your good deeds will be your rewards. You are paying/rewarded in this life based on Gods laws of just recompense. what is the purpose of an additional day of judgement?

Question 2:

Are you familiar with any on line tool whereby we can search one Arabic root word meaning in all the lexicons something like Consolidation of Lexicons?

Recommendation 1:

It is highly recommended that we develop a mobile app of the entire Quransmessage.com that supports Android, iOS, BlackBerry, HP webOS, Symbian OS, Bada from Samsung, and Windows Mobile.

Recommendation 2:

Please and if possible after careful cross analysis will you be developing a translation of the Quran covering the authorities work and presenting the best meanings possible (39:18) for ages to come, God willing.

Important Note: We can use http://asana.com/ for task management if global volunteers are required

Sincerely,

Your brother in faith,

Dear Orange,

Peace be with you.

Please see my responses below:

Response 1:

As you will have respectfully noted, this is why I assert based not only on my view from the Quranic narratives but what I 'personally' observe from real life experiences that full recompense is not achieved in this world alone. This necessitates the need for a Day of Reckoning to allow for God's perfect and complete judgment.

In the links you have kindly shared, I noted an example from antiquity:

Quote
"How did someone like Pharaoh, a tyrant get rewarded for his heinous crimes in this life or any other tyrant throughout history who does not attract recompense in this world?"

And there are plentiful modern day examples, for example as the one cited below in the link which clearly indicates that the law of recompense is often not completed in toto during this transitory life on Earth.

Response 2:

I have noted readers to have shared the following link and have heard great reviews about it.

http://www.studyquran.co.uk/PRLonline.htm

http://www.studyquran.co.uk/

The root summary information provided seems to link directly to Edward Lanes Lexicon where different classical sources are discussed in relation to the root / word under discussion.  Maybe this is what you are looking for?

I am sure if there are more links which suit your specific requests, other forum members will assist, God willing. I note brother Sardar has already shared a link.

Response to Recommendation 1:

Your suggestion is duly noted and I will put this matter to scrutiny / deliberation, God willing. Thank you so much for your suggestion.

Response to Recommendation 2:

At this stage, my response to your kind suggestion remains unchanged from the sentiments I respectfully shared with you on a similar question below.

Thank you so much for the Task Management link and your post overall.

Your brother in faith,
Joseph.
