Can you hate Allah and still be a good Muslim?

What is a good Muslim? One who has "submitted" to Allah-Accepted Allah and His system-.

A good Muslim and hating Allah are two opposites. There must be a misunderstanding of the concept of "Muslim" if one thinks the two are compatible.


Of course one has the freedom to love or hate Allah, but one cannot be a Muslim to Allah if they hate Allah.
If you say can you hate Allah and still be a "good" person as someone peaceful and helpful to others then that is a different matter.
As for hating Allah,one is free to love or hate  Allah. Allah has given that choice to all of us.

Allah also forgives and accepts  all repentance from any sin ,yes even hating Allah will be forgiven,if one changes their stance .

So do not worry brother , do what is best for you . Being a good person is commendable by Allah.

Mary and Zacharia both  were devoted to GOD Alone equally. No difference whatsoever in their gender as far as the spiritual self is concerned..

Often as humans, we see differences in ourselves. Differences of gender,race and status.
I am only talking in general here , not about you sister or anyone else.

When GOD  originally created, all His creations had an equal start as souls.( My understanding, since GOD is just and fair to all).Then all souls  shape their own destiny. (Put themselves in  other experiences or choose GOD s kingdom). For example Angels choose the latter

As humans, we agreed to the amana which put us in this experience (life on earth). We are still souls deep down,not males and females or races.... This requirement of gender in this life serve only the purpose of reproduction of generations. The body coupling is one of many other manifestations of GOD s creations.

The spiritual self has no gender. We are encouraged by GOD to rise above all bias and divisions of the "body/illusion" to live in harmony .
The only levels for the spirit is "how close does the soul gets to GOD"?
Adapting an attitude to "see all humans as the same spiritual being" not as different genders/ races/other... will make us rise above the harming divisions.

This is a vrey good question to ask.
I will give my understanding from my take on Qoran s instructions about this subject, not expecting it to be the right thing for others nor claiming It is the only way.
From my experience in life, one has priorities and goals, Qoran sets out a pecking order for the right priorities that matter and gives us "our purpose" why we exist and what are the most important priorities.
This subject requires one to follow the right priorities if one wants to achieve salvation/achieves the aim and fulfill the contract with GOD for when the meeting with GOD takes place in future.
Following one s desires is way down the list of priorioties according to Qoran.
The number one priority is to accept GOD Alone as authority and follow His message.
So in short if one is putting  his/her desires as a number one priority , then he/she is replacing himsef/herself as authority, choosing another god beside GOD Alone. "Wa Ma Khalktu Al Jinn Wa Al Inns Illa Liyabuduni"
The main purpose/aim in this life is to put GOD Alone and GOD s instructions first according to Qoran.Why?
Because the Amana that we accepted requires that we are put to this test. We agreed to this and made a contractual agreement that only GOD Alone is our Lord /authority.
Of course one needs to have other priorities and can fulfill his/her desires with this in mind. As long as they abide by GOD s instruction if they choose GOD Alone.
Otherwise they are free to follow their desires or whoever they wish to follow and ignore GOD s message..

Directly or inderictly, however one wants tp think/put it, GOD does everything.
I am not saying I know where and why this virus(Or supposedly whatever theory one has on this mess)) exists , but it does exist., There are lots of evodence there is a virus and people are dying from it!

Satan and its allies ,throughout man s existence, are trying to control humanity. And they succeed with the majority.

I am saying do not worry , believers (Those who ally themselves with GOD Alone) will be protected . And death is merely a transaction from here to GOD s. So if we die and we all die eventually ,it is a blessing in disguise. Satan and its allies cannot control ,and will not be allowed to control beyond this predetermined life.

For me , believing Qoran is GOD s words can only mean that GOD will never contradict proven/evidenced Science.
The questions that we should ask, if we believe Qoran is from GOD are these:

1-Did GOD say it or is it people s interpretation?

2- Which evidenced/proven Science contradicts what GOD says?( There should be none!!! We need to check and investigate rigorously!!!))

3-Is all Science always evidenced and proven?
Because we know for sure GOD will never err, forget or lie.

I see the context of 48:13 and the two verses 2:62 and 5:69 completely different.
48:13 is addressing the people in 48:11, a specific set of people who are neither Jews nor Christians. They are "Mukhallafun Mina Al Aarab" . a set of so called lip service believers that refuse to obey the command of the prophet to fight with the true believers and make excuses.. The same people  that the prophet is asked to address in 48:16.
48:13 and 48:16 are saying the same thing. A warning to these people.
Often taking verses out of context from Qoran and connecting them with other verses of a different context gives problems.

I will try and give you my view from my Qoran studies about all sorts of disasters that befall humans.

The outbreak of covid19 caught the whole world by surprise, and some people believe the virus was sent by God to punish humanity.

Eventhough GOD does everything, people have choices and decisions and the outcomes are always a concequence of the wrong choices and decisions.
God does not change any situation for the people unless the people change it themselves by their choices and actions.

God ,being Meciful warns through the message of the wrong choices and actions GOD does not punish anyone wrongly ,in fact GOD gives chances with His forgiveness and Mercy

Notice how for the first time , religious sites across the globe have cancelled events due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

For example, the Pope has cancelled meetings in Vatican City, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has temporarily banned Umrah pilgrims from all over the world and Jerusalem and Bethlehem has been put on lockdown.

Some Religious folks among mankind believe that God will be unhappy when justice will be denied, when atrocities against mankind will increase, rulers will usurp their powers and suppress their subjects, courts will shun justice. But that happened in all ages.

"The Holy Scriptures from the Old Testament, Bible to Quran, have verses warning about the punishment of God. History tells us of the storm of Noah that drowned His earlier creation. But those who firmly believe in God also believe that God is most kind.

Basically when people turn away from GOD , God turns away from people and they go it alone with"their satans" so to speak. That is when disaters happens.
Let some people stand for the right and injustice against humanity. This will save mankind from catastrophic calamities. And only for such people, God s promise of protection  will prevail. GOD will not turn away from mankind. if they heed the warning and follow the straight path..

Trust in GOD and believe in His promise to you. If disater strike the believers, which can happen, one should implore God and if taken away from this life ,there is a better life to come.
There is nothing to worry about brother. Keep your loyalty to GOD Alone .

Brother, here are some light stories about Ramadan:
1-
There were two christian men, John and Mike, whose plane crashed into a desert. Luckily they survived unharmed. As they traveled through the hot desert looking for food and water, they gave up and sat down, thinking of what to do.
As the dust in the air settled, they suddenly could view a mosque ahead. They became very hopeful. But then John said ''Muslims are there. They might help us if we say we are Muslim.'' Then Mike said ''No way, I won't say I'm Muslim, I'm gonna be honest''.

So John and Mike went to the Mosque ahead and were greeted by an Arab Muslim, who asked what their names were.

John thought of a Muslim name and said, 'My name is Muhammad'. And Mike said 'My name is Mike'.

The Arab man said 'Hello Mike.' And told these other men to take Mike and give him food and drink.

Then he turned to John and said, 'Salaam Muhammad. Ramadan Mubarak!

The Ramadan sermon
Once, it is said the people of Islamabad invited Mulla Abdul-Razzaq to deliver a speech at Ramadan. When he got on the pulpit [Minbar], he found the audience was not very enthusiastic, so he asked, 'Do you know what I am going to say?'

The audience replied 'No', so he announced, 'I have no desire to speak to people who don't even know what I will be talking about,' and he left.

The people felt embarrassed and called him back again the next day. This time when he asked the same question, the people replied 'Yes', So Abdul-Razzaq said, 'Well, since you already know what I am going to say, I won't waste any more of your time', and he left.

Now the people were really perplexed. They decided to try one more time and once again invited the Mulla to speakon the 3rd day of Ramadan. Once again he asked the same question, 'Do you know what I am going to say?' Now the people were prepared and so half of them answered 'Yes', while the other half replied 'No'.
So Mulla Abdul-Razzaq said, 'The half who know what I am going to say, tell it to the other half', and he left!

3-
One day during Ramadan, Nasruddin was taking it easy in the shade of a walnut tree. After a time, he started eying speculatively, the huge pumpkins growing on vines and the small walnuts growing on a majestic tree.

'Sometimes I just can't understand the ways of God!' he mused.  'Just fancy letting tinny walnuts grow on so majestic a tree and huge pumpkins on the delicate vines!

Just then a walnut snapped off and fell smack on Mullah Nasruddin's bald head.  He got up at once and lifting up his hands and face to heavens in supplication, said, 'Oh, my God! Forgive my questioning your ways! You are all-wise.  Where would I have been now, if pumpkins grew on trees!'

You seem to agree with me that you find"Islam in past scripture ,yet insist Islam is named from Qoran like here,quote:

It could be because of the Quran being the final Scripture and being the seal that it has then been given a name of "Islam".

Or do you mean you are not sure? Then Qoran clearly told us Islam was named before by Abraham:" Huwa Sammakum Al Muslimeen..."

So it had its roots before that ,Noah was called a Muslim in Qoran .

Also you did not deal with the contradiction mentioned in my last post.

We have to agree to disagree and practise our "Islam to GOD"  as best we can to the best of our knowledge.

One reminder to all of us in Qoran is we return to GOD as individuals-Wa Lakad Jiitumuna FURADA(individuals),like we created you the first time.

Let me summarize what I am saying to you about "Islam" and Muslim from Qoran, then leave it at that with evidence from Qoran.

Islam to GOD is not the "Muslim religion that some claim or we have today".
Islam  is not defined as following all the qoran and its laws.
Islam was the only DEEN accepted by GOD throughout the human history, is and will be.
Islam existed way before Qoran and Mohammed.
Islam to GOD is an invitation to all mankind to acknowledge and believe in the Creator with sincerity and honesty and accept GOD s guidance to become straight(follow the straight path). i.e an individual relationship/attitude to start the process of guidance from GOD.
Islam to GOD is accepting The one GOD as authority .

Religions are diverse and have different rules. Believers in Qoran may differ in rules than believers in bible or ...

The only DEEN approved by God is "ISLAM." Ironically, those who have received the scripture are the ones who dispute this fact, despite the knowledge they have received, due to jealousy. For such rejectors of God's revelations, God is most strict in reckoning.
إِنَّ الدّينَ عِندَ اللَّهِ الإِسلٰمُ وَمَا اختَلَفَ الَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتٰبَ إِلّا مِن بَعدِ ما جاءَهُمُ العِلمُ بَغيًا بَينَهُم وَمَن يَكفُر بِـٔايٰتِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَريعُ الحِسابِ
If they argue with you, then say, "I have simply ASLAMTU- submitted myself to God; I and those who follow me." You shall proclaim to those who received the scripture, as well as those who did not, "Would you submit?" If they submit, then they have been guided, but if they turn away, your sole mission is to deliver this message. God is Seer of all people.
فَإِن حاجّوكَ فَقُل أَسلَمتُ وَجهِىَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ وَقُل لِلَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتٰبَ وَالأُمِّيّـۧنَ ءَأَسلَمتُم فَإِن أَسلَموا فَقَدِ اهتَدَوا وَإِن تَوَلَّوا فَإِنَّما عَلَيكَ البَلٰغُ وَاللَّهُ بَصيرٌ بِالعِبادِ
May be we are prolonging this unnecessarily and for my part , I want to finish with respect and friendship  towards you brother and all readers of this thread and ask the following,not to expect an answer ,but for reflection to all:

If Islam is defined as following Mohammed and the rules of his message ,which I do not find that in Qoran, then this needs to be reconciled.:

1- GOD makes it clear in Qoran that whoever accept ANY OTHER DEEN apart from ISLAm , will be with the losers.
2- Yet iinforms us as follows:
Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the converts, and the Christians; any of them who (1) believe in God and (2) believe in the Last Day, and (3) lead a righteous life, have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
إِنَّ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَالَّذينَ هادوا وَالصّٰبِـٔونَ وَالنَّصٰرىٰ مَن ءامَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَاليَومِ الـٔاخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَلا خَوفٌ عَلَيهِم وَلا هُم يَحزَنونَ

We need to identify Deen meanings from the context of Qoran to eliminate issues that faulty interpretations bring like contradictions.
For me Deen can mean many things,system,millat Sharia, laws,...tec.
GOD may have established a social Deen with Mohammed but added that he also approved the DEEN Islam like it was done by previuos messengers throughout the human history.
Brother Hamzeh, you may reply or not, I am letting you know that I said all I wanted to say on this subject.

MY ANSWER:: You are talking about "believers" in Qoran . Different subject than "Muslim to GOD".  "Muslim" existed before Qoran.  What about Christians and Jews s? What about followers of other messengers in the past  that Qoran has not told us about?

Do you believe that an individual is able to implement Quranic commands on a individual level? Like is one able to carry out rulings such as punishments, marriage, inheritance on a individual level or do you think this must be considered under a community or societal level?

MY ANSWER: Irrelevant . an individual can be a "Muslim to GOD" That is what we are talking about here. If the individual believes in Qoran ,they are allowed to do what is "possible". Yes or no depending on the circumstances in the way they live among their society.

Also according to Qoran, GOD makes it clear that all humans are here to  "Ubudu GOD Alone".
GOD explains  further that "Ubudu GOD" is the straight path.  " Wa Ani UBUDUNI, Hadha SIRATUN MUSTQUEEM".
What is the straight path:
Say, "God possesses the most powerful argument; if He wills He can guide all of you."
قُل فَلِلَّهِ الحُجَّةُ البٰلِغَةُ فَلَو شاءَ لَهَدىٰكُم أَجمَعينَ

Say, "Bring your witnesses who would testify that God has prohibited this or that." If they testify, do not testify with them. Nor shall you follow the opinions of those who reject our revelations, and those who disbelieve in the Hereafter, and those who stray away from their Lord.
قُل هَلُمَّ شُهَداءَكُمُ الَّذينَ يَشهَدونَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَ هٰذا فَإِن شَهِدوا فَلا تَشهَد مَعَهُم وَلا تَتَّبِع أَهواءَ الَّذينَ كَذَّبوا بِـٔايٰتِنا وَالَّذينَ لا يُؤمِنونَ بِالـٔاخِرَةِ وَهُم بِرَبِّهِم يَعدِلونَ

Say, "Come let me tell you what your Lord has really prohibited for you: You shall not set up idols besides Him. You shall honor your parents. You shall not kill your children from fear of poverty - we provide for you and for them. You shall not commit gross sins, obvious or hidden. You shall not kill - God has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand."
قُل تَعالَوا أَتلُ ما حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُم عَلَيكُم أَلّا تُشرِكوا بِهِ شَيـًٔا وَبِالوٰلِدَينِ إِحسٰنًا وَلا تَقتُلوا أَولٰدَكُم مِن إِملٰقٍ نَحنُ نَرزُقُكُم وَإِيّاهُم وَلا تَقرَبُوا الفَوٰحِشَ ما ظَهَرَ مِنها وَما بَطَنَ وَلا تَقتُلُوا النَّفسَ الَّتى حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلّا بِالحَقِّ ذٰلِكُم وَصّىٰكُم بِهِ لَعَلَّكُم تَعقِلونَ

You shall not touch the orphans' money except in the most righteous manner, until they reach maturity. You shall give full weight and full measure when you trade, equitably. We do not burden any soul beyond its means. You shall be absolutely just when you bear witness, even against your relatives. You shall fulfill your covenant with God. These are His commandments to you, that you may take heed.
وَلا تَقرَبوا مالَ اليَتيمِ إِلّا بِالَّتى هِىَ أَحسَنُ حَتّىٰ يَبلُغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَأَوفُوا الكَيلَ وَالميزانَ بِالقِسطِ لا نُكَلِّفُ نَفسًا إِلّا وُسعَها وَإِذا قُلتُم فَاعدِلوا وَلَو كانَ ذا قُربىٰ وَبِعَهدِ اللَّهِ أَوفوا ذٰلِكُم وَصّىٰكُم بِهِ لَعَلَّكُم تَذَكَّرونَ

This is My path - a straight one. You shall follow it, and do not follow any other paths, lest they divert you from His path. These are His commandments to you, that you may be saved.
وَأَنَّ هٰذا صِرٰطى مُستَقيمًا فَاتَّبِعوهُ وَلا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُم عَن سَبيلِهِ ذٰلِكُم وَصّىٰكُم بِهِ لَعَلَّكُم تَتَّقونَ

Brother, look at the context of these verse from here:
Whomever God wills to guide, He renders his chest wide open to "Islam"( Submission). And whomever He wills to send astray, He renders his chest intolerant and straitened, like one who climbs towards the sky.* God thus places a curse upon those who refuse to believe.
فَمَن يُرِدِ اللَّهُ أَن يَهدِيَهُ يَشرَح صَدرَهُ لِلإِسلٰمِ وَمَن يُرِد أَن يُضِلَّهُ يَجعَل صَدرَهُ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّما يَصَّعَّدُ فِى السَّماءِ كَذٰلِكَ يَجعَلُ اللَّهُ الرِّجسَ عَلَى الَّذينَ لا يُؤمِنونَ
This is the straight path to your Lord. We have explained the revelations for people who take heed.
وَهٰذا صِرٰطُ رَبِّكَ مُستَقيمًا قَد فَصَّلنَا الـٔايٰتِ لِقَومٍ يَذَّكَّرونَ

Most of what you mentioned in your questions GOD has not mentioned in these verses. Are you telling me that GOD has forgotten to do so?
Yet clearly GOD has said this is the straight path that saves.
What you are talking about is specific to the ranks of believers. .We are not all the same. We are diverse. I am specifically talking about the minimum requirement.
GOD is Forgiver most Merciful. Muslim to GOD is a special relationship on an individual basis to start with.
