Salam brothers and sisters

Hope you are all fine.
I wanted to know about our thoughts..my husband..he is also a Quran alone follower... actually..he is still learning..he said..what we keep on thinking...it happens ultimately...if we think about something good..it will happen..and if we think about something bad..it might happen too.
Well m not sure...but..I realised this..sometimes..what we think happens...like..when we went on a vacation...me and my sis..were repeatedly joking that...what happens if we miss the flight...and we were on time..yet we missed the flight...same..my cousin..who was to go to London..he kept joking tat..what if I miss my laptop..I may have to comeback..etc etc..and when he went to t airport..his passport was seized as it was not renewed..and he came back...I always got most of my things when I prayed to God..thanks to God...my husband says..u kept thinking about it..n it happened...you prayed and got it..so...I wanted to ask...does such things exists?..do we get what we think?..will something bad happen if we think about something bad...?.. actually..m fearing about mon b dad..I don't know...I jus started thinking..what will happen to us..if something happens to our parents..who will look after us...so n so...I jus love my parents very much..I just couldn't think about their death..I know..it will happen one day..but I m still not in condition to accept tat..n told my hubby about it..he says..don't think like that...if u keep thinking like that.. something may really happen to my parents...
So I wanted to know...does such things happen?..I said..i couldn't accept that...he said...ask your Quran group and let me know..
Kindly someone please help..

Salam All,

Some people claim that...that the fundamental constituents of music are words/speeches/acts or behaviors. The prohibition awaited at the message-level. There wouldn't be music without words or messages.

Prohibition is any thing (words/acts/messages etc)which negate  or invalidate any of the verses in the Quran.

Identifying prohibitions Qur'anic ally could either be
1. Directly Stated (Words for Words)

2. Deductively: In the the Qur'an, God did not prohibits ' Sperm Donations'. But deductively, these acts negated the verses on kinship as it severed the line of kinship we are commanded to honour.33:4-5

Any word be it in Musical format or speech which contains some or any element of shrik or bad words is prohibited for a believer.14:24-26., 5:17. as they are noted down for us even if we overlooked them.50:17-18, 82:10-12.

For instance, if a music has an element of 5:17 can believers follow such rhythm as music was not prohibited?

I so much love music but I could not see just one music which does not riot with a Quranic verse.

So according to the above...does that mean...songs are prohibited or something like that..we do listen to songs...its not necessary that..it may contain good words all the time...and according to this article by brother Joseph...http://quransmessage.com/articles/poetry%20FM3.htm poetry is not much supported by Quran...so it would be better if we keep it away from us...now..i wanted to know...usually a poem is composed as a song...does that mean that...we should distant ourselves from songs or music too?...are all kind of poems prohibited?...I usually write some poems...not to offend someone or something like that...just enjoy writing a poem on current situations or love or country...are such poems also not allowed?...

M sorry if am asking the same thing which has been discussed already...

Kindly clear it guys...

Salam All,

Fight in the cause of God...What does it mean?...are we to fight with those...who are talking against Islam..and muslims..i have seen many people belittle our religion and God on social media...should we fight them?...coz if we do..its gets dirty..they talk too much and we get hurt at last..should we go on preaching people..even if they are against us or something like that?

Cant we just enjoy decorations of christmas tree and all?....its just we like christmas tree and lightings and gifts and all...can we just do that for fun..nothing else...

shaitan not letting me enjoy small things...i jus want to be happy...it makes me think negative about everything...

As India is a Hindu majority country..but a secular country...should we be against hindus or something like that? or shouldnt we be patriotic towards our country?...as some told that...we shouldnt be best friends with hindus or disbelievers...:S...and quotes this verse [60:1] O you who believe, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies extending love to them when they have disbelieved in the truth that has come to you.
I am just confused...:S...

Kindly clear it guys...please please..am just trying hard to be happy and stress free and small things come up in my mind and makes me think too much...like...should we be friends with non-muslims or not...as per the above verse...the person claims that..we shouldnt be best friends with them...:S

I hope brother Joseph also can take some time and clear my doubts please...:)

General Discussions / Naming a child
December 13, 2016, 07:05:45 PM
Salam All,

As we are due next month...we were planning to name our child...or choose a name...my husband wants to give the child a common name...through which...he/she wont be identified as muslim...he fears that...as the world is becoming anti-muslim...our child may face problems in his/her later life...so we want to give him/her a common name...Now..my doubt is that...is it sin?...that...we are not willing to show people that..he/she is a muslim...we just fear for the safety and may be partiality he/she may face..is it sin?..

And is there any way to name child?..or any custom?..like...traditional people...recite Adaan (Call for prayer) in the ear of the child and name the child...we do not have to do that right?..we may just name or can we say...In the name of God..and then name the baby?...

Kindly clear these doubts please...

December 06, 2016, 12:06:21 AM
Salam all,

M sorry for troubling u again. Can u plz clear these verses..as m confused

Do u think that u will be spared without God identifying which of you have struggled and did not take anyone for friends and protectors except God his messenger and the believers? God is fully aware of all ur actions.

According to this verse r we not allowed to befriend non believers?..

But according to t following verse... We r allowed right?

He does forbid u to deal kindly n just with anyone who had not fought u on account of ur faith or driven u our of ur homes, God loves t just. God only forbids u to make friends with those who have fought against u on account of ur faith and driven u out of ur homes or helped others to do so.

M confused here...kindly clear it..

And kindly clear t following verse too plz..
Believers do not take ur fathers n ur brothers for allies If they choose denial or truth in preference to faith.

According to the above verses, r we to cut ties with our family who r atheist..like I had already told...my dad is an atheist as he saw continuous deaths in his family..but hez not a polytheist or something... He let us follow our religion...n he respects it...he is honest too and a good human being...in this case..what should we do..can u plz clear it..I love my father very much..kindly clear it plz..

Salam All,

Hope you are all fine...i have few doubts...

i was wondering..is it compulsory for us to preach people about islam?..like..should i preach to my friends or something..coz...my friends are non-muslims...and here peole dont much preach about their religions..so if i preach..things may go wrong...so..i jus wanted to know...are we commanded or is it compulsory to spread islam or message of Quran or tell people about islam?...Or can we show them...by living our life as per Quran...and not to try to preach them?...

Are we allowed to follow traditions?...M 7th months pregnant...and i live in India...but from southern part of India...the thing is...in south india...People belonging to all religions..be it muslim...christian or hindus...they perform some traditions during 7th month of pregnant...like...In south...the girl goes to her parent's place for delivery...so during 7th month...Girl's family comes and all perform some traditions and take the girl with them...so...what i m confused is...is it ok follow traditions?...are committing any sin here?...

One more doubt...m working...and i have been provided with a landline phone for myself (connection in my name)...like...each employee is provided with a phone connection to themselves...everyone use it for official and personal calls...i jus wanted to know...is it ok to use for personal use?...m i doing anything wrong here by using it for personal use?...i dont use it much though...everyone uses their phones for personal use...m wrong anywhere here?...

Can you please clear these questions..m confused...

I came across this verse, and i am not able to figure out what it says, hope you guys can help me out..

"God has created four kinds of livestock of either sex: two of sheep and two of goats. Ask them, 'Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or what the wombs of the two females contain? Tell me on the basis of knowledge, if you are truthful."

According the above verse, does that mean, we are not allowed to eat male goats or something like that?..m lil confused..kindly clear it please...

Salam all,

I came across this verse:
Eat then, only that over which God's name has been pronounced, if you truly believe in him. Why should you not eat what has been consecrated in God's name, when he has forbidden you unless you are compelled by necessity? ...do not eat anything over which God's name has not been pronounced, for that surely is disobedience.

According to this verse...are we commanded to eat only on which God's name had been pronounced?.. Like..even in vegetarian food?..or is it mentioned only for the food..which should be slaughtered?... Like halal meat?..or is it enough to say..Bismillah before eating anything?... Or..are we not allowed to eat..vegetarian food..produced by non-muslims?..

Can u guys plzzzz..clear it..

General Discussions / Question regarding Zakat
July 01, 2016, 04:57:06 PM
Salam All,

Hope you are all fine...i came across...Brother Joseph's article...and found these lines from his final thoughts..

If the state is an Islamic state, then the payment of Zakat will be to that particular state. The rate will be appropriately levied by those in governance given their circumstances. If one abides in another land, then a duty of responsibility and obligation is due to that particular community and state as responsible citizens.

Today Zakat is collected through a decentralised voluntary system. Many Muslim theologians attempt to expand the definition of whom and how the Zakat should be paid concentrating on primarily the Muslim communities. There is no indication that Zakat is only payable to Muslims. Rather Zakat is payable to all those who are in need in a given society.

According to above thoughts...is zakat charity or tax to be paid to the government?...m confused..can you guys please clear it
