Salaam Walaikum
Allah says he will fuel he’ll with men and stones.
All praise and worship is for God alone.
The symbols of Allah have been highlighted. The black stone is not one of them. Of the mentioned symbols are Sai, the Ka’aba and the sacrificial animals.

That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols [i.e., rites] of Allāh - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.

Al-Hajj, Ayah 32

Aggression is discouraged by Allah.

O you who have believed, do not violate the rites of Allāh or [the sanctity of] the sacred month or [neglect the marking of] the sacrificial animals and garlanding [them] or [violate the safety of] those coming to the Sacred House seeking bounty from their Lord and [His] approval. But when you come out of iḥrām, then [you may] hunt. And do not let the hatred of a people for having obstructed you from al-Masjid al-Ḥarām lead you to transgress. And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allāh; indeed, Allāh is severe in penalty.

To call the black stone the hand of Allah without authority from Allah is attributing a lie to Allah. Allah is Most Merciful but also severe in punishment and retribution but Forgiving of Mistakes.

Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you’ll.

Al-Ma'idah, Ayah 2

General Discussions / Surah 4:127 different rulings for the prophet
« on: June 15, 2023, 05:19:41 PM »
Salaam all,

In 4:127 Allah says he has given a ruling to the prophet and in the Book as well.
What is the wisdom behind this? Why has Allah mentioned this?
One could assume that the prophet had a separate ruling because he had direct revelation from God but the revelation for al mankind is the book so we are to adhere to the book.
OR traditionalists might argue now that the prophet had rulings/laws revealed to him that were recorded separately and need to be followed.

Peace brothers and sisters

Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?"

Salaam all,

Can someone please explain both Ayat and who Allah is talking about here and why some will have one death and why some will have two deaths?

Q-44:56
They do not taste death beyound the first death and GOD spare them the retribution of hell.

040:011
"They say: Our Lord! Twice have You made us die, and twice have You made us live. Now we confess our sins. Is there any way to go out?"

Thanks and God bless

Apoloyi just saw your point about 58:13.
Yes it seems zakat is mandatory as Allah is saying "Pay the zakat" in all Ayat I don't know how I missed it and in 58:13 the option sadaka is an option

Salaam Hamzeh

Regarding 41:6/7 where you mention that polytheists are meant to pay zakat i understand this differently
In this Allah is condemning 3 separate types of people

1) The polythesists
2) Those who do not pay zakat
3) those who do not believe in the hereafter

because in this ayat

9:5
Sahih International: And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful

9:11
Sahih International: But if they repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, then they are your brothers in religion; and We detail the verses for a people who know.

both verses specify that they dont remain polythesits.

Peace

Jzk for your time

1) could you show me in the quran where zakat is made compulsory to be given?

2) could you show me how "Haqqu" as a right has any relation to zakat? could it not be that "haqqu" is a right of some to others wealth? for example as in 17:26(Relatives, Needy and Homeless)   and 70:24 (One who asks,The deprived
The one who accepts Islam. those who accept the truth of the last day and of Allah punishment are are fearful and those who guard their modesty).

I fail to see how sadaka is not as obligatory and zakat. I would like to understand how zakat from the quran is compulsory to a certain group of people not mentioned in the quran apart from in the "haqqu" ayat. Yet in 9:60 it clearly states sadaka is to be distributed to 8 groups of people made an obligation by Allah in the same verse.

Nobody knows what zakah is and who it goes to except

a) by quran followers using the "haqqu" ayat
b) by traditionalists using 9:60 where is clearly mentions sadaka as obligatory. Zakat is not even mentioned by name.

Regards and Peace

Salaam brother jzk for your reply but 9:60 clearly mentions "sadaka" and "obligatory" which makes all distribution points of sadaka mentioned as an obligation or duty imposed by Allah.

(Sahih International ) zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah . And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

(English Transliteration)

Salaam.

So, sadaka is not obligatory yet 9:60 mentions "obligation".
Zakat is obligatory yet is not the word mentioned in 9:60?
Why is this ?
Is zakat the obligatory subset of sadaka ?
Would appreciate any views .

Peace and thanks

General Discussions / Are we allowed to donate to blatent polytheists?
« on: September 07, 2021, 09:04:22 PM »

Recently on an old school friends what's app group a friend made a plea for an old teacher who needed shoulder surgery. A picture sent around showed this male teacher a Christian at home with about 5 pictures of ISA on the wall behind him and two of Mary, clearly polytheists.
I was happy to donate till I saw the picture and it out me a bit off and now I am unsure what to do.
Allah looks after everyone regardless of their religion. Should we too? I am confused as to what to do.
I would appreciate any advise using the Qur'an if possible.

Salaam brother Tausif
In my opinion Islam is a set of commands from Allah that need to be obeyed. The pinnacle of one's journey in my opinion is when one is striving in devotion, worship and to obey all Allah's commands. Along the way I believe it's possible that Allah The Almighty might test, punish , forgive depending on ones level of sincerity in deeds and repentence. Allah can choose to show us special signs or general signs and he knows best what a believer needs to accomplish the next life. Allah want's the next life for a believer. Access to Allah and his commands is all we need to obey and please our Lord.

Salaam and thanks
