1. When did dinosaurs came to earth?...We have read in Quran that...Earth was created in six days...so...i m in doubt that...were the dinosaurs present during Adam (PBUH) and Eve's time? or..were they destroyed before them?...

2. We are taught to say Alhamdullilah when we sneeze...as of now...i still do it...as a habit...so should we do it according to Quran?...

3. Should we prostrate while reciting Quran?...as...people say that...you should prostrate 30 times or something...when you have completed Quran.

4. Dont give short measures...so...does this mean to the shopkeepers who sell short measures or also to the common people?...

5. As a habit of so long period...we used to finish our prayer by saying As Salam Walaikum...turning right and left...is it ok?...should we say this or not?

6. Sometimes i m not able to concentrate while praying...I try hard to concentrate...but still...some other thoughts comes and disturbs a lot...but still..i manage to finish my prayer...in this case..will i blames for not concentrating?..

7. Last week..when i traveled through bus...the ticket costs Rs. 10/-...i was accompanied with a lady...who is my bus-mate...she gave me money and asked me to buy ticket for Rs.5/- for the same place..i told her...that..it costs Rs.10/-..but she insisted on buying for 5 Rs. So.i bought my ticket for Rs.10 and for her for Rs.5/- which she gave...so...here...will be blamed for such a thing?...i did not intend to do so...but i cldnt do anything else either...i tried to tell her...but..she wanted me to buy for Rs.5/-...so is it my fault?

8. Well...this one is my personal issue...well..for the past few days...we have been facing lot of problems...our marital life is in trouble...me and my husband has been fighting...in which..our both families had to get involved...but thanks to God..it got solved...but again...some electronic items...are not working...and...i booked some flight tickets...and i had to lost Rs.5000/-...which was out of my budget...even though i couldnt cancel it...as it will be more loss...and we are not capable of bearing it right now...and again..this weekend..me and my husband had a fight...and...out of anger..he broke his hands...:(...that was really a terrible thing...i had...ever seen...:(...i couldnt bear it...as he was bleeding...:(...we called my sister...and the problem was solved and Thanks to God...everything is fine now...but still...coz of this accident...he suffered internal injuries...and he is under medication ow...so..i wanted to now...y are we having this hard time?..is it a punishment or test?...i read the verse yesterday..."verily after hardship comes ease"...so...will there be ease?...my husband thinks that..someone must have done black magic or something like that...well..we do not believe it wholly...but...can it be possible?...

9. I have some doubts in our religion...like i sometimes wonder...is it true..while reading Quran...so..will be accountable for not trusting wholly...

Salam All...

i came across this verse...about jinns..."We sought to reach heaven, but found it filled with strong guards and flames - we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him"...so...according to this verse...can the jinns hear what is happening in heaven?...like..somewhere i read that...jinns...hear what happens in heaven and they convey the message to the fortune teller and that fortune teller conveys that message to the man who met fortune teller...and the man thinks that...whatever fortune tellers say...it is true...so...are the jinns really able to know our future?...are the fortune tellers able to tell what is in our future?...

And this verse..."O you who are wrapped up in your mantel, stand up to pray for much of the night. It may be half the night or a little less than that or a little more, but recite the Quran slowly and distinctly. For we are about to send down to you a message of considerable gravity. Surely, getting up at night for worship is the most potent means of subduing the self and most suitable for the word of prayer. You have by day prolonged occupations (with dawah work). Remember the name of your lord and devote yourself to him wholeheartedly. He is the lord of the east and west, there is no deity but him, so take him as your Guardian. Bear patiently with what they say and ignore them politely. Leave it to me to deal with the deniers, who live a life of comfort and bear with them a little longer..........................Your Lord knows that you stand up praying for nearly two-thirds of the night, or one-half of it and sometimes one third of it, as do other among your followers. God determines the measure of night and day. He knows that you will not be able to do it, so He has turned to you in mercy. Recite, then, as much of the Quran as is easy for you. He knows that there will be some among you who may be sick and others who will be travelling throughout the land seeking God's bounty and yet others who may be fighting for the cause of God."

According to the above verse...are we commanded to pray during night?...or was it mentioned only for the Prophet (PBUH). ?..

I m sorry being silly again guys...please dont mind..

As Salam Walaikum All...

Hope you are all fine...i have some new doubts...hope u guys wont mind...

Is it compulsory to be in the state of ablution to read quran?...

and according to this verse..."Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, abstain from it"...so according to this verse...are we commanded to follow hadeeth?...tats wat...these hadeeth following people claim..i guess...so..should we follow hadeeth?..well...m jus asking...sorry for such a silly question...

And according to this "GOD will not take you to task for oaths which you may have uttered without thought, but He will take you to task for oaths which you have sworn in earnest. Thus, the breaking of an oath must be atoned for by feeding ten needy persons with more or less the same food as you are wont to give to your own families, or by clothing them, or by freeing a human being from bondage; and he who has not the wherewithal shall fast for three days [instead]. This shall be the atonement for your oaths whenever you have sworn [and broken them]. But be mindful of your oaths!' Thus God makes clear unto you His messages, so that you might have cause to be grateful."...will i be accountable for the promise i had forgotten?..i mean..i m not sure...whether i made promise on God or something...just i dont remember...but once..i remember...my mom...forbade me to talk to one of my friend...she was girl indeed...and she asked me to promise...and i promised her...but...i cldnt hold on to the promise..as she was one of my best friend..n i spoke to her...n we are still friends..bt now...my mom doesnt have any prob with me..talking to her...but...what i did earlier...was it wrong?...shld i feed 10 people or fast?..

I hope you guys can help...thanks and sorry..

Salam All...

Hope you are all fine...i came across this verse..."Those who separate themselves from their wives by pronouncing, "To me you are like my mother's back', must concede that they are not their mothers, none are their mothers except those who gave birth to them - surely they utter an evil word and a lie. God is pardoning, forgiving. Those who put away their wives by equating them with their mothers, and then wish to go back on what they have said, must free a slave before the may touch one another again. THis is what you are exhorted to do. God is fully aware of what you do, and anyone who does not have the means must fast for two consecutive months before they touch each other, and who is not able to do that must feed sixty needy people. This is to affirm your faith in God and His messenger. These are the limits set by God. Those who deny the truth shall have a painful punishment."

What does the above verse mean?..For example...sometimes my husband says tat..."u care like my mother.."...is it not allowed to say like this?...and sometimes...out of love..we both call each other..."AMMA"..which means...mother in Tamil...but we do not mean to call each other mother...but..just to show our love..we just say like this..is it not allowed to call like this?...did we do any sin by doing such things?...should we fast two months or feed sixty people?..can you please clear it...?..THank you very much..

Salam All...

Hope you are fine here..m again here to trouble u guys..dont mind...:P...please..:)...

I came across this...verse..."Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, 'He is a sorcerer or a madman'. Have they they handed this down to one another? They are certainly a people who exceed all bounds, so ignore them - you are not to blame - but keep on exhorting them, for exhortation benefits the believers..."...so according this verse...should we keep encouraging people..coz some many not like or some get irritated...so...wat should we do?..is it compulsory to exhort?...

And this verse ..."I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship me"...so...according this verse...are we not allowed to live our own lives?...like...play...talk...watch movies or go outing..and all...m an idiot to think like tat...but m jus confused...

And i know that..backbiting is prohibited...what does actually backbiting here mean?..for example..i have a colleague here...he is jus useless...in t end...i have to do all t work..but wen it comes to grades..he gets t same grade as me...whereas..he doesnt do anything..my superiors also know tat..so..in his absence..we..i mean..me and my other colleagues just talk...like..m frustrated wit my burden..whereas..he does nothing..n so and so...so...is such talk considered backbiting?..m jus complaining..to my colleagues...or jus letting my agony go...or sometimes..i talk about my family situations and complaint about my husband to friends..and they suggest solutions..so is this also considered backbitting?

What does...do not spy on another mean...?..will it include...to know about our family members?..etc.

I read this article of brother joseph...http://quransmessage.com/articles/is%20the%20punishment%20of%20hell%20eternal%20FM3.htm    so...according to this...atheists will go to hell?..well...as usual..i fear for my father...he is a good person...honest...loving and helping..and a social worker..but an atheist...he became atheist...coz of continuous deaths in his family...well...like many in India...Messages of Quran did not reach him too...as...people are able to know only what religious teachers teach them...and now..its too late..m not able to make him understand Quran...:(...so...will he go to hell for this?...

what is the difference between remembrance of God and prayer?...

Is Quran order-wise?...yesterday while arguing with an idiot..he said..Islam is terrorism etc etc...in Quran it states tat..kill t non-believers n so on so and quoted a verse...which number 9: and something..i forgot..then i showed him t verse...i dont remember..but it number something 60: then he said...the verse that numbered 9: came later...whereas...number 60: came first...so killing was ordered...n i jus said to him...its not like tat...Quran was compiled later...n the Quran should be considered number-wise..so 9: came first and 60: came later....so was i right?...Forgive me God..if i was wrong...so is it ok?..was i wrong?..m confused...

HOpe you guys can help...sorry and thanks...:0

Women / Is Head covering compulsory according to Quran?
February 16, 2016, 01:37:00 PM
Salam Walaikum All...

Hope you are all fine...i came across a new interpretation...i saw this interpretation in a site...

"...and not display their beauty except what is apparent, and they should place their khumur over their bosoms..."

Khumur خُمُرٌ is plural of khimarخِمَارٌ , the veil covering the head. See any Arabic dictionary like Lisanu 'l-'Arab, Majma'u 'l-Bahrayn or al-Munjid.

Al-Munjid, which is the most popular dictionary in the Arab world, defines al-khimar as "something with which a woman conceals her head —ما تغطى به المرأة رأسها ." Fakhru 'd-Din al-Turayhi in Majma'u 'l-Bahrayn (which is a dictionary of Qur'anic and hadith terms) defines al-khimar as "scarf, and it is known as such because the head is covered with it."2

So the word khimar, by definition, means a piece of cloth that covers the head.

(2) Then what does the clause "placing the khumur over the bosoms" mean?
According to the commentators of the Qur'an, the women of Medina in the pre-Islamic era used to put their khumur over the head with the two ends tucked behind and tied at the back of the neck, in the process exposing their ears and neck. By saying that, "place the khumur over the bosoms," Almighty Allah ordered the women to let the two ends of their headgear extend onto their bosoms so that they conceal their ears, the neck, and the upper part of the bosom also.

So according to the above interpretation ...is it compulsory to cover your head?...m tired and confused of this topic..hope you guys can help.

General Discussions / Marriage with an Atheist...?

Salam All...

Hope you are all fine...i m jus confused...somewhere i saw scholar stating that...There can be no sin worse than denying the existence of God, our Creator, Cherisher and Lord. Therefore, as a Muslim, you are not allowed to remain in a marriage with her if she does not believe in God...so...if my dad is an atheist..does that mean that...my mom should not remain married to him?...:S...i dont know..what he is completely...he respects our religion and everything..he just thinks that...Quran got corrupted...and because of that...people are promoting hatred...while...this is not true...as...this is all happening because of Hadeeths..not Quran...but...people...mostly think that...all bad things are happening..coz Quran says so...i jus dnt know..whether...he is atheist or not...but still...if he is an atheist...is it ok for my mom to remain married to him?...kindly clear it please...

General Discussions / Is Quran Corrupted?
February 08, 2016, 02:10:36 PM
Salam Walaikum All...

Hope all are fine...well...i have a new doubt...may be it sounds stupid...but...i just wanted to know...earlier i had a argument with my dad...as there is communal tensions in the country...because of...some lunatics...my father thinks that...Quran got corrupted...and some people are using it against other religions etc...India is a secular country...everyone respect others and...there is bond of family between all...but recently...the condition of the country is little bad...since the so called Modi came to the rule...there are troubles from...some Hindu lunatics too...but it has calmed down...but...we found that...some Tawheed Jamath...group is organising...some conferences..and giving hate speech about other religious rituals and all...and it is again creating communal trouble in the country...so..my father thinks that...people must have corrupted the Quran..he said..r u sure that...Quran is as it is...as it was written by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)...?..i said...yes...it is not corrupted...he says...how do u know..that it is not...I said..i believe...he says...u believe...but what is the guranatee that it was not corrupt...so dear people...is our Quran corrupt?..i do believe in God and Quran...but because of some people..people think that...Quran is propagating hatred and..it is corrupt...i jus want to prove that..it is not corrupt...can any one help please...

General Discussions / What to do in difficult situations?
February 05, 2016, 03:23:58 PM
Salam All...

Hope..all are fine...I live in India...and muslim population in India is greater in number compared to some other countries...recently...we have been facing some problems within the community...a muslim organisation...Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamath...is active and...has been conducting various conferences and other things in the state of Tamil Nadu (a part of India)...actually...its propagating hatred towards other communities and religions...in the name of Anti-idol worshiping...India is a secular country...and no religion is considered to rule..only...democracy is established...in the recent conference conducted by Tawheed Jamath in Tamil Nadu..it has stated...that..they will make India a Islamic State and will enforce Sharia Law and all...from their talks...they seem to be IS sympathizers..and one more thing is...they are disturbing the communal harmony between all religions in the country...such talks and conferences will prompt other religions...especially Hindus to go against Muslims (and they can be successful too...as India is the Hindu Majority Country)...so..it is really sad thing...that...they are creating trouble for everyone and trying to disturb the peace and harmony in the country...I want to complaint against them...to the Government and wanted to stop them from conducting any other conferences...i know it is not easy..but i wanted to try...but...my family would not allow it...as...they will fear that...we can be attacked by the so called idiots...so...at this point...what should we do?...should i still go with the complaint to the Government..or should i just let them do whatever they want?

I hope you guys can guide...

General Discussions / What is the meaning of dabbah?
February 01, 2016, 01:43:49 PM
Salam Walaikum All,

Hope all are fine...As I am reading Quran in english...i came across a word..."When God's word is justly carried out against them, we will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in our signs."...the translator has mentioned in the footnote that...

At the time when Almighty God takes decision to bring to an end the present history of the earth, some extraordinary sings will appear to usher in the last phase. Among these sings will be the appearance of a dabbah. The message, which was brought through human beings and which was not accepted by the people will be announced by dabbah. Modern systems of communications are probably what is alluded to here as dabbah. This will be the bell announcing the end of the examination period and not its beginning.

So...what does this dabbah mean?...does it mean that...end of the world is near?..can anyone clear please.

Thanks and best regards,

Salam Walaikum brothers and sisters...

Hope you are all fine...:)...I have some new doubts...hope you guys can help...

What is the role of Prophet Jesus in Islam?...i met some of my Christian friends yesterday...we were just discussing...most of the things they said was...same as in Quran...the only thing i couldnt understand is...they said...Garden of Adam and Eve was created by Jesus...and they also said that...when Jesus descended to Heaven..some people only saw his hands...and they said that...Jesus descended to Heaven...is it true that...Jesus was crucified?...everything else was similar to us and them..like...they said...no idol worship...God is one...we shall pray to one God only...etc etc...only i m confused about the above statement...hope you guys can clear it...

Does Quran say anything about the mark on the forehead of muslims...(which is mostly caused due to their constant praying..or may be because of prostrating)...

What is adornment according to Quran?...I wear a chain...in which my husband's name is inscribed..so that...people would know that I am married...as many think that i m still unmarried...so i started wearing this chain..so..are ornaments not allowed for women to wear in public?...does adornment mean ornaments?...

Is piercing allowed?...like...we wear earings...so piercing on our ears allowed?

I hope you guys could help me...sorry and thanks again...:)

We live in India...My dad is an atheist. He was believer earlier when he was young. Continuous deaths in his family made him an atheist. But he does not stop anyone from following Islam. If we try to tell him about Islam...he would argue back, so we do not argue either. But, he is very honest, kind to people, and helps anyone, whenever they ask for help..He even helped people during worst flood period in South of India...He is respected by people and loved by all...for his good deeds...he is not an idol worshipper or something...he did not change his religion either...neither...he asked us to leave Islam or something...he would respect whenever we pray...and...infact he taught us Kalimahs...he even says sometimes...I should start this work with Bismillah...he never wanted us to marry out of our religion...I love my dad very much..I just fear that...will he be not rewarded for his good deeds?...will he be sent to hell...just for turning into an atheist?...I just worry for my dad...and it is to be noted that...Most of the people in India...reads Quran in Arabic...whereas...only few of them understand what is written in it...can you please clear my doubt?...will it help..if I pray for my dad?...cnt i observe funeral prayer if my dad passes away?...can you please tell me?...can i attend the funeral?...

Can we pray while sitting?...as I m working...we do not have facility here to pray...so I pray at my seat itslf...and we do nt have space to pray while standing...so can I pray while sitting?...I do bow and prostrate...can I?

Are we not allowed to see the private parts of others?..well...we do not wish either...bt...while watching TV or something...sometimes...accidently...we see t private parts of others...bt we do not intend to so...bt accidently..it happens...is it ok?...or we allowed to see the private parts in drawing or cartoons?..like..when reading science books...or other books...for some knowledge...as it is not any person...can we?...

are we allowed to watch movies or read novels or romantics novels...and go outings?...are we allowed to enjoy our lives...while...remembering God...too...

are we allowed to eat prashads...like...In india...they give...prashads...like they go to temple...and some eatables are provided to their idols...and they give to others...are we allowed to eat them...when my friends offer them to me?

is there any things called makhru?...as people say...disliked things by God...

and what does it mean by...lower your gaze?...does that mean that...we should not look at men or..men should not look at women?...can you please tell...

does quran encourages killings of non-believers?...can we be friends with non believers?...I have many frnds...who are not muslims..bt indeed very good friends...

How should we perform ghusl after intercourse or monthly cycles according to quran

How much zakat should we given?...is there any percentage?...can we give zakat to non-believers?

I wanted to know...about hereafter ...people say that...we will meet our family of world in hereafter too...but some said...that...we will find husband or wife in hereafter...does that mean that...my current husband wont be my husband in hereafter?...I love my husband very much...I jus cant think life without him...so...I have been crying since yesterday..that...my husband wont be with me in hereafter...is that true?...and one more thing...is...shaitan is making me think tat...if he will not be in hereafter with u...why should I love him in this world...i should be not attached much etc etc...I didn't take such thoughts seriously...bt m jus very much upset...can you please clear me...will i meet my husband and family in hereafter?...

how should we pray...should we follow the hadees way of praying?...
