Do anybody know something about Michael?

Joseph Islam claims that Gabriel isn't an angel, but it rather could be a spirit. Yes, it could be something different rather than an angel because angels are already mentioned in that verse.
The problem is that there is nowhere in Quran mentioned anything about Michael except 2:98.

Do people not wonder if the ritualistic prayer actually works? Isn't it our actions which can get us the results? Maybe we have missunderstood the Quran.  Please see this:

He explains the logic behind prayer and gives examples from the Quran against the ritualistic prayer. And he states: "to observe God's laws is to call out to Him or pray to Him and to get good results means our prayers have been answered".

This books is big food for thought. This is something we should study and learn from. What do you think about this book?

Ablution for me, is one of the strangest practises i perform everyday because I can't figure out what is it's real purpose.
I did some research and found that ablution mostly isn't about physical cleansing but more about freeing your mind of thoughts. Why? It's because when you wash your face with the water, your heart rate lowers which in turn makes you more relaxed. The phenomenom is called "mammalian diving reflex". I don't know if this works with clean earth and I don't know what role does it play to wash other parts of the body for this matter. I doubt about this idéa because I believe we don't have to perform ablution for every prayer.

Other idéas are that it could be spiritual cleansing (I don't know what it means), symbol of cleanliness, the importance of idéa of cleaning and God wants to test our obedience. The last mentioned sounds not right. Why would God prescribe us things which are meaningless?

Another strange thing is that it may be possible to hold your ablution by not urinating for one minut to 10 hours -- time breaks ablution! In addition do you know in which way does urinating invalidate my ablution?

If I could know the purpose, I would know why I should be thankful for God.

What is your opinion about this matter?

1. The month of Ramadan is approaching. But I've got a problem: It's hard to fast for ca 20 h per day for a month. During Winter time it's just ca 5 h per day. If I were to travel further, at north direction, then it would be more than 23 h fasting per day -- ouch!
What does the Quran say about it or do you have any advice?

2. Praying during Summer is also difficult. Ishaa: 23:47; Fadjr: 1:53. After waking up, I can get headaches and be very drowsy, so that I pray unconcentrated.
Did God ordained us to follow "the Sun position watch" only to make it easier for us (especially for people of the past times) to observe five prayer of the day? Any advice? I can't imagine how people would wake up for the prayer, in the past, without an alarm.

3. God says in the Quran that He protects churches, mosques and synagogues (22:40). Is it acceptable for a believer to pray in the church or synagogue?

4. I heard someone say that he would die, rather then eating human flesh. What is the best decision to make: to die or to eat human flesh to survive?

Could you give some answer for the following questions:

1.
"Nor say of anything, "I shall be sure to do so and so tomorrow"-
Without adding, "So please Allah!" and call thy Lord to mind when thou forgettest, and say,
"I hope that my Lord will guide me ever closer (even) than this to the right road."" - 18:23-24, Yusuf Ali.

What does the above verses tell?

2. Can we pray as much as we want or is it better to pray as much as may be easy for us (73:20 - but I'm not really sure about it's meaning)?

While some Muslims talk about dajjal, rising the sun from the west etc. I can't understand (scientifically) these verses about end days from the Quran (Yusuf Ali translation):

"The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder.
But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say, "This is (but) transient magic."" - 54:1-2.

"When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up;
When the stars fall, losing their lustre;
When the mountains vanish (like a mirage);" - 81:1-3.

"When the Sky is cleft asunder;
When the Stars are scattered;
When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth;" - 82:1-3.

"He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
At length, when the sight is dazed,
And the moon is buried in darkness.
And the sun and moon are joined together,-
That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?"" - 75:6-10.

69:13-16; 44:10.
There are probably more...
Do you know their chronological order? In addition do you have some scientific explanation of how it could happen?

In this page, http://quransmessage.com/forum/index.php?topic=675.msg2507#new, it is told that "passing wind" does not break wudu (ablution) according to Quran and remains as matter of choise.

Does sleeping, fainting or diziness break wudu (not speaking about wet dreams and such) according to Quran?

According to Quran, people who strive will be better rewarded than those who do not strive:

"Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed: The seal thereof will be musk: and for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:" (83:25-26, Yusuf Ali)

What about people who can not strive? For example: a child who dies in a car crash or those who can not think normally (due to sickness). Do they have no chance to achieve such reward?

Let me tell you about my (possibly) supernatural experience. One night, lying on my bed, i was pondering over how did God create us in truth. Suddenly, nasty thoughs come up from no where. I though: "It must be invisible evil being whispering to me". Then I said: "In the name of God, the most Gracious, the most Merciful. I seek Your protection from the devil which is accursed". After that I was almost unable to visualise those nasty things for some minutes. I could only see some parts of my nasty thoughs' silhouettes. In addition, it was also hard to visualise.

Next day, I'm lying on my bed at night and the same nasty visions suddenly come upp from no where again. I prayed God to protect me from the devil and same experince happened to me as yesterday. I still could see parts of its' silhouettes. Then I said: "Oh my Lord, could you remove (completely) these thoughs for a moment?". My jaw dropped  . I tried to visualise those nasty thoughs but couldn't. I tried again and again; but still it wasn't possible. It was completely dark when i tried to visualise. I felt like my eyes were bound by a black veil. I just couldn't see (visualise) anything att all.

Here are verses which may explain why it did work: 16:98-99; 6:112 and surah 114. It turns out that our thoughs heavily affected by God and by "the invisible evil beings". God wants to protect us.

Yeah, this sounds like fairytale. In addition, there is a chance for it to be a coincidence and remember that God does what He wills. Therefore I need your help. Did you experienced something similar? (I'm sorry if this is not the right place to ask such question.)
