Thanks a lot again Imran, a very immaculately researched article.
I will take a detailed look. What is the major revision from the first version?

Did you research the possibility of Gog and Magog be some thing like Mongols and Tartars tribes. Some accounts of them such as being fast paced invaders seems to match and also the area of Gobi desert which you indicated in the path of Dual Qarnain used to be their domain.

Thanks

Discussions / Re: What constitutes the Torah and the Injeel today ?
« on: June 28, 2018, 11:40:14 AM »
Allah refers to His message in Book form as 'Al-Kitab'. There are other attributes of this message i.e when it is remembered its called Az-Zikr, when it is recited its called 'Al-Quran', when it is used by people as knowledge its referred to as Ilm and Noor. When narrations are set forth and events narrated in it, it is 'Ahsan al Hadith'. So this message of God is referred by its various attributes. In 6:83-89, it mentions all the prophets were given Al-Kitab.
So, this Al-Kitab is given to all prophets. Then Injeel, Torat and Zabur, can also be the attributes of this Al-Kitab. It does not make sense that Allah send different books, as Quran says that all prophets were given the same Sharia in Sura Shura 42:13. Also, it challenges to bring any previous book than this Book or even any remnant of those previous books. So, all these indications are that when Taurat and Injeel are mentioned they are the attributes of the same Book of Allah. What happened was that people put this Book of Allah, behind their back and bring forth an alternative Book which they wrote with their own hands and ascribed this book as from inspiration of Allah. The below link explores this topic in a little bit more detail.

General Discussions / Re: Who/What is Michael?
« on: June 18, 2018, 04:35:14 AM »
Please consider the following points in the below mentioned Ayas:

16:102: The Rooh ul Qudus has sent down the Message.
26:193:  The Rooh ul Ameen came down with the Message

2:97 Jibreal sent the Message down on your heart
2:98 Jibreal and Mikal are mentioned as a pair

From the above mentioned points the following deduction can be made:

A Rooh sent the Message down (Rooh ul Qudus), and a Rooh came down with it (Ruh ul Ameen); Jibreal sent down the message, therefore Jibreal is Ruh ul Qudus. if Jibrael and Mikal are paired then Mikal should be the Rooh which came down with the message i.e Rooh ul Ameen.

Say the Ruh-ul- Qudus/Revered Spirit has revealed it from your Lord with the truth so that to strengthen those who believe and a guidance any good news for muslims/submitters.

Say, whoever is an enemy to Jibrael/Gabriel-for he brings down the (revelation) to your heart by Allah’s will, a confirmation of whats between the hands, and guidance and glad tidings for those who believe,-

From the above two Ayas we know that Ruh ul Qudus is Jibrael.

Sent down the Ruh-ul-Ameen/Honest Spirit with it.

The Rooh ul Ameen/ The Honest Sprit has been sent down with it (Al-Quran)

Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers, and Jibrael/Gabriel and Mikal/Michael ,- then! Allah is an enemy to the  rejecters.

Jibrael and Mikal are mentioned as pairs in the above Ayat. Considering this pairing of Jibrael and Mikal and that Jibrael is the Rooh ul Qudus, who sent down the message, then the Rooh-ul Ameen who came down with the message, should be Mikal.

The link to above post discusses this topic.

Illah/gods are the ones with whom there is no two-way communication. When you call them they can't respond to you (46:5, 7:194, 13:14). While, Allah do communicate with people through His Book. You get to know about Allah, His orders, His likes and dislikes through His Book. When you don't know Allah through His Book, Allah is like an Ilah to you i.e there is no two way communication with Him. Those people who don't have communication with Allah, the biggest Illah in their minds is Allah.  While they do say that Allah is their Lord but they don't know what Allah is asking them to do. They don't have knowledge of His Book and His message to them. They keep putting their list of desires before Him, however they don't know what He is asking them to become or act like in order for their supplications to be accepted,  so Allah becomes the Biggest Illah for them.

Because, the majority of people who don't have knowledge of the Book and therefore don't know Allah's message, they fall prey to the syndrome of smaller ilah's/gods. These smaller ilahs are of various types; an introduction to them is given in previously published post https://topicsfromquran.wordpress.com/2017/08/07/ilahs-false-gods-mentioned-in-al-kitab/ . They can be in the form of emotions, physical idols, non physical idols, Jesus, Mary, Lofty personalities, stories of the past, etc. The first statement of All Messengers in the Book, is not to associate smaller illahs with Allah. The practice of Ibrahim A.S is to break the smaller illah's so that people can turn towards the real Allah. That is termed as the best practice in the eyes of the Lord (60:4). The smaller Illah's/gods/idols cannot be broken in people nafs without the leave of Allah as they are so deeply ingrained in people.

Therefore, when Ibrahim A.S, said that the Biggest one has broken the smaller idols, it is not a lie, its actually a true statement. Allah confirms in Quran that Ibrahim is truthful prophet (19:41) although story and history books may tell you that Ibrahim has told 3 lies in his life time. This can not be true in light of Quranic Ayat. These stories cannot relate the fact that when Ibrahim broke the Idols of his nation and told them that the Biggest Illah has done it, he actually means that the smaller Illah's can only be shattered by the leave of Allah, as they are so deeply ingrained in one's psyche.

https://topicsfromquran.wordpress.com/2018/06/10/who-are-jinns-as-per-quran/

The above link to a post discusses Ayas related to Jinns in Quran

Most people think of Jinns as paranormal creatures, very different from human beings. Common belief about Jinns is that they can become invisible or attain any shape and form and even can get inside human bodies to possess them. They are free from material form and can fly in air or space. Their diet is different from humans, they eat bones and sweets. Their life span is also different from human life span and a plethora of similar fantastic beliefs about Jinns. The root word ج ن ن of ‘Jinn’ imply meanings in the sense of ‘shielded’ or ‘covered’. The above linke to post we will see what Quran tells us about Jinns, and whether the concepts about Jinns mentioned above are from Quran or are from outside of Quran:

Thanks a lot. However, shouldn't  يُثْخِنَ Yuskhina, mean that the Prophet PBUH, is himself subdued instead of him subduing the land.

Traditional interpretation seems too violent considering the peaceful message of Islam.

Looking at this Ayat and few more till 8:71, seems like a prophet can only have Isra's when he is thoroughly subdued in the land i.e is not able to accomplish much. Isra's seems sort of financers who provide funding to prophet's cause. However, in contrast to 'Muhajereen' who have already migrated in belief from their previous belief system to the path of to Allah's and Messenger's, the 'Isras' are those, who are captives in that path, i.e they have not yet completely adopted the path although they have been thoroughly outwitted and their previous belief system destroyed in ideological fight by  believers in the light of Ayas of Allah.

The fighting could be ideological and non-physical as given in the below link to a post:

https://topicsfromquran.wordpress.com/2018/05/19/creation-of-skies-and-the-earth/

Salam,
Regarding the Ayat 65:12 and 67:3, the similarity mentioned in the Skies and the Earth is in their structure i.e as skies are built i.e one above another, similarly earth is made of layers one above another. Details are given in above link to the post.

Allah is He, who created seven skies and of the earth also the like of it. His orders descends between them so that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah encompasses, all things in (His) Knowledge

He is who created the seven skies one above another. You will not see any imperfection in the creation of the Most Gracious. So turn your vision again. Do you see any flaw?

Salam,
Whats your understanding of Ayat 67 of Anfal.
What could يُثْخِنَ mean?
The spelling of word أَسْرَىٰ used here and in 17:1 are exactly the same, although they are different words. Can there be some connection?

Will appreciate your comments.

Thanks

General Discussions / Whats your understanding of Ayat 2:259
« on: May 13, 2018, 09:21:56 AM »
Salam,
Any thoughts or understanding of below Ayat? What had happened with the Donkey and food. How was he made aware of the
 process of anatomy?

Or like the one who passed by a hamlet, all in ruins to its roofs. He said. "Oh! how shall Allah bring it (ever) to life, after its death?" thus Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him up (again). He (Allah) said. "How long did you stay (thus)?" He said. (Perhaps) a day or part of a day." He said. "No, You have stayed a hundred years; but look at your food and your drink; they show no signs of decay; and look at your donkey. And that We may make of you a sign for the people, Look further at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh." When this was shown clearly to him, he said. "I know that Allah has power over all things."

https://topicsfromquran.wordpress.com/2018/05/04/recognize-groups-by-their-behaviors-not-by-their-labels/

Al-Kitab mentions several groups of people with certain names or labels, such as Muslims, Jews, Christians, etc. When Al-Kitab introduces these labels it also gives behaviors and character traits of these people. An important point to understand is that when Al-Kitab mentions for example ‘Jews’ it means those people who act according to traits given in Al-Kitab for Jews, and not by what the world calls them or not by what label they put on themselves.

And when Al-Kitab mentions ‘Muslims’, then those people who match the character traits of ‘Muslims’ in Al-Kitab are meant.  The labels that people put on themselves don’t matter. If some people call and label themselves as ‘Muslims’, however, their actions actually match the traits of ‘Jews’ given in the Book, then they are actually ‘Jews’ in the eyes of the Lord. Vice Versa, if some people call and label themselves as ‘Jews’, however they do not match the characteristics of ‘Jews’ in the Book, they are not ‘Jews’ in the eyes of the Lord.

It may not be that a particular group exhibits characteristics of a trait all the time. It would seem more likely that in every community wether as a whole this community be labeled as Muslim, Jew or Christian, there would be some people within each community behaving like Muslims, Jews and Christians, Hypocrites and Momin/Believers etc. God has created all people. He is the Lord and sustainer of all people in the World. Then why would God punish people who He Himself created in a certain place or community unless they exhibit the behaviors he has warned them not to do.

The above link to the post presents the behavior traits of people as given in Quran.

https://topicsfromquran.wordpress.com/2017/12/25/hadith-of-moosa-a-s-and-hoot-whale/

Hoot (حوت) means big fish in Arabic. Normally the word is used for whales and dolphins. There is an incident mentioned in Al-Kitab about a Hoot/Whale swallowing prophet Yunus A.S. There is another incident mentioned in Al-Kitab about Prophet Moosa (A.S)and a youth who went on an expedition. The indication they had of their quest was to follow a Hoot/whale uptil the point of merging of two oceans.

And when, Moses said to his attendant, “I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or even If I have to spend a long time in travel.”

But when they both reached the Junction, they forgot (about) their Whale, which took its course in the sea freely.

When they had passed on (some distance), Moses said to his attendant. “Bring us our supper; truly we have suffered much fatigue at this (stage of) our journey.”

He replied. “Did you see (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget (about) the Whale. none but Satan made me forget to tell (you) about it. it took its course through the sea in a marvelous way!”

Moses said. “That was what we were seeking after.” So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come).

So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence.

The conventional story associated with above Ayas in Quran is that Moosa and his attendant were on land. They had a cooked fish with them as their meal. After walking for a long time Moosa was tired and asked the attendant to bring the fish for their meal. At that time the attendant told him that when they passed over the rock, the dead fish suddenly became alive and made its way into the water. Moosa told him that was the place they were seeking and they turned back to find that place.

In the above conventional story beside the problem of a cooked fish suddenly becoming alive and jumping in water, another point is that the word Hoot (حوت) is used for big fish like whale and dolphin which people don’t carry for lunches.  The small fish which are eaten are called Samak( سمك) in Arabic. If we ponder over the Ayas only, the scenario which builds up is that Moosa and the youth must be travelling on a boat or ship. They are following a whale or dolphin. Whales do season migration on known routes. They are following the whale which is destined to go to a specific place as part of whale migration

https://topicsfromquran.wordpress.com/2018/02/08/concept-of-abrogation-of-ayas/

The above link to the post discusses part of the topic.

What we abrogate/cancel or cause to be forgotten (concepts different from spirit of Allah) from an Ayat, We substitute something better or similar. Don’t you know that Allah Has power over all things?

Normally with Ayats there are preconceived notions attached to them. These notions are not from Allah. So Allah, cancels these notions (by other Ayas) and confirms the true Spirit/understanding of Ayats. Therefore, what is cancelled from the Ayats, are the things introduced by Satan and not the Ayas themselves.
