Discussions / Daniel prophet or Angel
« on: November 30, 2018, 10:20:19 PM »
Hi,Ladies and Gentleman

is there any hint in the AT or NT that Daniel is Prophet because although Daniel is not mentioned in the Quran by Name one could assume that he is an angel.

Because the anglesname in the quran are ending with "il" Jibril ,Mikail ,Azrael ,Israfil and by deduction Daniel has to be angle from an islamic view.

What do the Bibleexperts say?

General Discussions / Noah, the Ark and Location
« on: November 30, 2018, 01:52:51 AM »
Hi ,whats up ladies and gentlemen,

for quiet some time i am pondering about the story of Noah and strictly speaking about the Location where the Event took place.

There are some suggesting to have found a structure like a boat on the mount Ararat based on the Bible and the islamic view is a Mountain near to the first on called Judi.

The Story of noah in the Quran is spread over 29 suras and it is only one time mentioned that the ark landed on "Al-Djuddi"
.

My Question is :How do we know that the ark landed on a mountain?

Prophets and Messengers / 23 or 24 Prophets?
« on: June 22, 2017, 09:34:49 PM »
Salam All ,

I was wondering how maistream Islam is counting the prophets and messengers and came to the number 25 although it is 23 as it came out by my counting.

But i am not sure if this is correct as one Prophet is twice with different names.Who am i talking about ?

Its Prophet Jakob aka (Prophet?)Israel.

In Sura 6:83-89 alot of prophets and messengers are Mentioned also jakob who later was given the Name Israel by god according to the scrpts.

All the food was made lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel forbade for himself before the Torah was sent down. Say: 'Bring the Torah and recite it if you are truthful.' sura 3:93

Please kindly share your views.

Set forth to them, by way of a parable, the (story of) the Companions of the City. Behold!, there came messengers to it.
Coin for them a similitude: The people of the city when those sent (from Allah) came unto them;

translated by pickethall and jusuf ali

All Translation are switsching betwenn Companion or dwellers for the word ashab

General Discussions / Bush or Tree?
« on: February 14, 2017, 05:41:37 PM »
Salam All ,

As you all know the Story of Moses from jewish/Christian Tradition his first contact with god was through a burning Bush on the holy Mountain which he climbed after he saw a fire from a distance .

Now the Story in the Quran is a bit different and i come to this ayat
28:30
فلما أتىها نودى من شطئ الواد الأيمن فى البقعة المبركة من الشجرة أن يموسى إنى أنا الله رب العلمين

to make it short this ayat is not talking about a burning bush the word asch-schajarat is mostly translated as Tree .
Whats your opinion on that as there are hardly trees on desert mountains i believe .

General Discussions / Handshake or not ?
« on: December 26, 2016, 11:02:06 PM »
Peace to all ,

Can someone give Information about how to greet People ?

A:Handshake or not?
B:Greeting with words only?

If we read the quran we dont get explicit Information about how to do it for example Sure 24 ayat 27 it says that you had to greet the habitants of the house before entering the house .

The question is does the form of greeting differs by opposite gender like some ahadith is telling ?

General Discussions / Sura 96 first Revelation?
« on: February 18, 2015, 10:16:42 PM »
As-salamoualeikum,

From islamic sources weget toknow that the first Revelation by the Prophet is Sura 96.The writings of this Happening are saying, that this is happend in the 27.ramadan,where upon the angel Gabriel forced the Prophet to read.
Some say that another sura was the first one but they agree that Sura96 is the first one.

What bothers me about the Story is the begining,he was forced to read and he stroke him three time and then after the torture when he was running away,he was introduced by this angel and the he is the Prophet.

If we look on other contacts with god theres is always a slight on going, with an introduction and the message and no freaking appearance like some ahadith are saying and thus the Prophet want to jump from a mountain.
For example Moses contact:

"10) But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! (11) "Verily I am thy Lord! Therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. (12) "I have chosen thee: listen then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). (13) "Verily I am Allah: there is no god but I: so serve thou Me, (only) and ...."

Or god talk with Jesus:
"109) Then will Allah say: "O Jesus, the son of Mary! recount my favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom..."

This is my humble opinion.

Islamic Duties / Inherance ratio of man
« on: July 04, 2014, 07:34:04 AM »
What does "لِلذَّكَرِ مِثۡلُ حَظِّ ٱلۡأُنثَيَيۡنِ‌ۚ "mean?Does it mean 2:1 man/female Portion?

Allah chargeth you concerning (the provision for) your children: to the male the equivalent of the portion of two females, and if there be women more than two, then theirs is two-thirds of the inheritance, and if there be one (only) then the half....(11)

They ask thee for a pronouncement. Say: Allah hath pronounced for you concerning distant kindred. If a man die childless and he have a sister, hers is half the heritage, and he would have inherited from her had she died childless. And if there be two sisters, then theirs are two-thirds of the heritage, and if they be brethren, men and women, unto the male is the equivalent of the share of two females. Allah expoundeth unto you, so that ye err not. Allah is Knower of all things. (176)

If i read the first ayat one can read that a man is like two female in ratio but we dont know what two womens inheritance is  the second ayat shows that theirs is two-thirds and more women its still two-third.And if only one women in both ayat it is half of the sum.
But how do People come to a 2:1 ratio of man to female,i read something different in the second ayat it is clear to read that unto the male is the equivalent of the share of two females so according to my reading
Man-2/3;two man-2/3;...
Women-1/2;two women-2/3;three women-2/3;four women-2/3...
Can someone clarify?

General Discussions / The meaning of "ZaKAt"
« on: June 22, 2014, 07:42:41 PM »
Salam to all,

The concept of "zakat" is an important part of Islam and belongs to the "5 Pillars of Islam" but is it really meant to pay a ceartain amount of Money to the poor, because it is very often mentioned in the quran twinned with the establishmend of the salat.
My inpression is it is something we gained from the salat and we should take to the People.
"Zaka" means also to pure oneself
Is it probably meant after connected with god(salat?) and beeing enlighted with the love of god to spread this love to others?

excuse me Joseph if this post is against your concept of "zakat" i have only read your final thoughts about it.

General Discussions / "Asch-Schajar"Tree or Celestial Object?
« on: June 06, 2014, 05:21:01 AM »
Salam,

The Beginning of Sura 56 is describing the creation of the human and that the moon and the sun are following their ways and than is coming the star together with tree to bow down which obviously doesn't match together in my view.

Yusuf Ali Translation:
"Allah) Most Gracious! (1) It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. (2) He has created man: (3) He has taught him speech (and Intelligence) (4) The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; (5) And the herbs and the trees-both (alike) bow in adoration. (6)"

He is translating "al-najmu" with herbs but for me it doesnt make sense because sun+moon fit together other than stars and trees.

Does schajar maybe mean something different for tree

General Discussions / Soulmates
« on: May 22, 2014, 09:51:06 PM »
When reading surat Nur,i had a stark Impression that the Allmighty who created all human wants to hind at something Special but lets have look on the Ayat.

Those who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter: for them is a grievous Penalty― (23) On the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions. (24) On that Day Allah will pay them back (all) their just dues, and they will realise that Allah is the (very) Truth, that makes all things manifest. (25) Women impure are for men impure and men impure are for women impure; and women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity: these are not affected by what people say: for them there is forgiveness, and a provision honourable. (26)

Seems like the creator is talking here about soulmates who have deep affection for one another, somewhere he said that the muslim man and muslim women are friend of each other.

The beginning of the Sura Nur is dealing with the punishment of adultres but is this the real message he is telling us?
The adulterer shall not marry save an adulteress or an idolatress, and the adulteress none shall marry save an adulterer or an idolater. All that is forbidden unto believers. (3)

Is it forbidden for an unbeliver to marry a beliver and viceversa or rather he is telling us that it is not possible to get along with one another if you belief or not.

After i read the chapter with the message of soulmates in mind it gets more evident why,the word "soulmate"is interchangable with "true love".

Your opinion please.

Best regards

Thanks for making my Picture about Nasara clearer.

Now i am about to know about the term"Yahoud" sometimes it is written without "YA " and is been shown as "HAdou" in sura 2:62 for example "إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُواْ "

Does "Hadu" come from the Prophet HUd or is it derived from Thunder (sons of Thunder?)
