Were the Shia Imams Infalliable ?

Were the Shia Imams infallible?
----------------------------------
While Sunnis don't declare their Imams as Infalliable the Shia assert that their Imams were. Actually no human is Infalliable except the Prophets.
While Hazrat Ali nominated his son as Imam Mauwiya nominated Yazid as his successor. What is the difference ?
(1) Hazrat Ali nominated his sons Hasan & Hussain as his successors. Husain withdrew in favor of his brother Hasan as such Hasan became Khalif after he got baiyat from Kufans. Therefore Hasan was made Khalifa without consulting Shura. Hazrat Ali did not follow the Islamic principle of
consulting Shura for selection
or election of a Khalifa as was
done before for all Khulfa.
As Hasan gave away his Imamat to Mauwiya therefore Ismailis & Agha Khanis don't recognize him as Imam.
Though Hasan handed over
the Khilafate to Mauwiya the
Imamat had gone to Hussain
while the sons of Hasan were
there to inherit.
(2)  As Zainulabedeen's first son Al Baqar's Imamat was challenged by his brother Zaid & declared himself as Imam. His progeny is called Sadaate
Zaidi.
(3) Imam Jafer Sadiq declared
  his second son Moosa Kazim
as his successor after death
of his eldest son Ismaeel even
though his son Mohammad bin
Ismaeel was alive. As a result of this Mohammad declared
Ismaeel as 7th Imam & he
being 8th Imam.
(4) Eleveth Imam Hasan Askary
nominated his minor son Mahdi instead of his brother Jafar Tawwab who was elder
and eligible. How can a minor
take the responsibility of Imam.
The progeny of Jafer Tawwab
is called Sadaate Naqvi.
Do these above narrated episodes tell us that the Imams
were Infalliable?
The sad part of Shia Imams is that all of the Imams were either assassinated or killed by
poisoning.
May entire creation be filled with Peace & Joy & Love & Light
