Who are the disbelievers ?

Pickthall: Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope. For it (is only) that which it hath earned, and against it (only) that which it hath deserved. Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget, or miss the mark! Our Lord! Lay not on us such a burden as thou didst lay on those before us! Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear! Pardon us, absolve us and have mercy on us, Thou, our Protector, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.

In Ayaah 2:286 we the Muslims are request Allah to give victory over the non believers and I wanted to know if the Jews & Christians are non believers ? Thanks

Disbelievers are the majority of the human race. They could be Muslims, Christians, Jews...Any religion, Atheists..etc..

Everybody must be wary of not "dying" a disbeliever!  Everyday, we have to try and do better than the day before and continuously strive to earn our salvation, we must never take our devotion and deen for granted.

The Majority of People Do Not Believe.

12:103
Most people, no matter what you do, will not believe.
وَما أَكثَرُ النّاسِ وَلَو حَرَصتَ بِمُؤمِنينَ
12:104
You are not asking them for any money; you simply deliver this reminder for all the people.
وَما تَسـَٔلُهُم عَلَيهِ مِن أَجرٍ إِن هُوَ إِلّا ذِكرٌ لِلعٰلَمينَ
12:105
So many proofs in the heavens and the earth are given to them, but they pass by them, heedlessly!
وَكَأَيِّن مِن ءايَةٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ يَمُرّونَ عَلَيها وَهُم عَنها مُعرِضونَ


And some who believe end up  worse than disbelievers!!!!

The majority of those who believe in God do not do so without committing idol worship.
وَما يُؤمِنُ أَكثَرُهُم بِاللَّهِ إِلّا وَهُم مُشرِكونَ


May the Lord keep us on His true path.

Salam Good logic There two parts in this Ayaah. First is who are the disbelievers & second is why Allah not hearing our Dua to give victory over the disbelievers ? Because of this Dua Allah should have given victory over the disbelievers at least after 1400 years after? My point is why are we not having upper hand over all the disbelievers ?

Who is " we"?

If you mean the so called" Muslim Ummah",then may be they are not real" believers"? There must be something wrong!

GOD has promised the real" believers" a good life life now and in the hereafter.

16:97
Anyone who works righteousness, male or female, while believing, we will surely grant them a happy life in this world, and we will surely pay them their full recompense (on the Day of Judgment) for their righteous works.
مَن عَمِلَ صٰلِحًا مِن ذَكَرٍ أَو أُنثىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤمِنٌ فَلَنُحيِيَنَّهُ حَيوٰةً طَيِّبَةً وَلَنَجزِيَنَّهُم أَجرَهُم بِأَحسَنِ ما كانوا يَعمَلونَ


We must think!!! What is it that has gone wrong with the so called " Muslims"?  Are they following a man made religion? Have they deviated from the original message given to the prophet which is Qoran?

We must ponder,study Qoran and find out why?
