Prophet Ibraheem's Dream to Slaughter his son Ismaeel

What I understand is prophet Ibraheem's dream to sacrifice his son Ismaeel. Is it true that he tried but Allah saved him at the last moment. Can somebody help me to narrate the facts. Thanks
