adam and eve and parents 3:85

Assalam alikum I was reading some of the posts on evolution and I was just wondering if we said adam and eve had parents how do we explain 3:85 where it says adam was like jesus

The Quran does not say Adam was like Jesus. The verse is 3:85

3:85 The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was.

As you maybe familiar with that Jesus(pbuh) was not created through the same process as all other human beings by the intercession of male and female and Adam (pbuh) was also in that respect.

I ment the verse was NOT 3:85 but 3:59. I made a mistake on the verse number.


But verse 3:85 does not mention anything about Adam and his spouse. What does verse 3:85 have anything to do with your question.

3:85 And whoso seeketh as religion other than the Surrender (to Allah) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.
