Is yoga halal

A bit embarrassed to ask but here goes.
I was wondering if yoga and some specific yoga poses are halal. For example sun salutation.
Obviously no intention to worship the sun but are such and other poses that could be classified as bowing to certain objects by certain groups or other creeds, classify as haraam or questionable?

Yoga is to be taken as physical exercise of Indian style only and extra items Suria Namaskar can be
elmilated which amount to Sun Pujah done by Hindus of India

I think the same question could apply to various martial arts where bowing to the teacher and saying unknown words in Japanese is mandatory discipline.
