PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS FORUM IS PRIMARILY DEDICATED TO A STUDY OF THE QURAN

 

 

In addition to the Registration Agreement, please see the QM Forum policy below which forum members agree to abide by:

 


1.  GENERAL RULES
 

 

(a)    Whilst healthy open discussions are encouraged between forum members, those who break the forum rules may be banned. No reason will need to be given by the moderators for doing so.

 

(b)    Forum members can report a post or another member by contacting the moderators. Once any objectionable content is brought to the attention of the moderators, they will attempt to edit or remove such material as quickly as possible. If you feel that the matter has not been dealt with effectively, please email Joseph Islam directly at josephislam1@gmail.com

(c)     Posts made on this forum will appear in the public domain and express the views and opinions of the author of each post. The  QM forum is not liable for the content of the posts and any private messages made by the forum members. If no other forum rules are contravened, individual posts and the username will remain on the forum to maintain integrity of the threads and at the sole discretion of the forum moderators. Therefore, forum members are expected to consider carefully what they share in a public space such as this forum.

(d)    Only one user account per individual will be permitted. Duplicate accounts and posts will be removed.
 

(e)    The default language of this forum is English. The only other language that will be permitted is Arabic with the proviso that an appropriate translation in English is provided.
 

 

 

2. CONTENTS OF THE POSTS AND INTERACTION WITH OTHER FORUM USERS
 

 

(a)    Decorum, civility and respect must be maintained at all times.


(b)    Posts which contain personal insults, jibes, threats, swearing, inappropriate content, comments of a sexual or racist nature and extremist views will be removed. The offending member will be banned.

 

(c)     Any repeated posts whether general or aimed at any particular forum member, posts deemed irresponsible and posts unnecessarily contentious will be removed with the offending member's account being temporarily suspended or permanently banned.

 

(d)    Please avoid attempting to badger any members into responding especially if they have concluded parting with their perspectives on a matter.

 

(e)    Any form of 'trolling' will be curtailed and the repeated offender banned.
 

(f)     This forum must not be used as a platform for any form of indiscriminate advertising, whether it is with a view to promote another scholar's views or the views of a particular group of thinkers, especially when academic differences of opinion have been made clear.

 

(g)    The moderators will remove posts with website links which promote religious or racial hatred and the offending member will be banned.

(h)    Usernames must not be offensive or of an inappropriate nature. Otherwise, they will be removed.

(i)     Please keep an appropriate, consistent font size. Posts which overtly make use of full capitals will be removed.
 

(j)     Please endeavour to make your point succinctly and provide references wherever possible. Please avoid voluminous content.
 

(k)    Please do not infringe any copyrights. It is the sole responsibility of the forum member to ensure that no copyright breaches occur in their posts. Please provide all appropriate references.


(l)     Links to external websites must be relevant to the topic. Where they are deemed to be inappropriate, they will be removed.

(m)   Signatures must not be offensive. The moderators may ask you to edit your signature if they deem it to be inappropriate.
