You say Serve Allah by being  obedient to His commands & Follow His guidence.Ok it is fine but does it not mean to pray or worship? Praying or worshiping are having connection with the Creator & praising Him  but our actual duty is to act as Allah has  commanded in our daily life.I also wanted to stress here that idols do not give any  commands to serve or follow, therefore it is worshipping or praying  that is being mentioned in this surah.Thanks for sharing

The word Sajda is noted in the margin of Book Quran several times to make the reader know that he has to Prostrate  when he arrives at this aya while reciting. Nobody was able to explain as to when & by whom this was done.I dont know if you find in your copies of Quran but it is there in India.Does  anybody  has any idea ? Thanks

Assalam All, This Surah deals with " IBADA". Serving Allah is right but telling  serving Idols is not right translation as stones need no service.Though Shabbir has not used his usual "folowing command"which would be not right as Stones have not able to give commands.Shabbir,ASad & Yousuf Ali used Worship which is right.Does this Surah tell about Praying Allah ? As per Surah Tahreem Prophet replied his wife on being asked who told you that All Knower told.I just wanted to know if Prophet used to get revealation other than through Jibreel.

 Assalam while telling about Secondary Source I impressed upon the Cutom & Practices of Salat & Haj coming from tha last 1400 years right from the period of Prophet without referring to Ahadiths. Salam All,While the practice of Salat & Haj is coming forth from our Prophets time thro generation it is very strange that the Ahadith do not mention this important aspect clealy & whole.instead the Ahadith narrate unnecessary aspects which why these are not reliable. In my opinion the practice which is coming from generation is right & is to followed. I have got a detailed article of Ameenuddin Islahi who has mentioned the negative & positive aspects of Ahadith,They coined them for good & bad.I shall try to post to Br JAI Inshallah some time later. As Br JAI wrote the praying is important time bound not the count of units.Thanks for sharing

Assalam,Instead going to Secondary Source why cant we follow the custom ( TAQLEED) of Prophet who has performed Haj & performed Prayers five times in Masjid il Haraam ? This is the chain of events coming  right from 1400 years. This form is given to succeeding ummah to follow. Sahabi Abul AUS had not gone to China to build Municepality,Parliament or Office but to  Pray 5 times inviting peiople to Islam. A Hindu king from Kerala India built a Mosque during the period of Prophet taking Shahda in Arabia.He did this  for prayers. Dr Shabbir has also  translateed Salaat as Prayers in many places in QXP while most of the places as following Command.

Assalam sister Saba has quoted 5:39 about  thief's mending which I wrote that cuuting implies cutting of thief's ability to commit theft.Then how can Allah be forgiving ?

What I understood from your explanation is that the thief should be prevented from doing theft or Fasaad by cutting his ability to do?Am I right?
