Jesus Crufixion

Dear Joseph Islam Sir

Salamun Alaikum

I have read the Article 'UNDERSTANDING THE CRUCIFIXION OF JESUS (pbuh) FROM A QURAN'S PERSPECTIVE' and I find it simply .. OUTSTANDING !!    :)

I love your presentation skills and mannerism. The way you use the Arabic words by highlighting them and then showing the snapshot of Lexicons etc .. It is Superbly convincing !

Dear Sir, I am keen to know what does the Bible (Old Testament and New Testament) has to say about the crucifixion of Jesus(pbuh).

At first I thought of not disturbing you and searched for related topic in the search box. I could not find it. Neither could I find it in your Articles List.

Could you help me please.

Thank you

Warm Regards

Talib

Salaam Talib,

If you read the following link, you will find all the information and references you need about the crucifixion from the Bible. Given the references, you can probably get the accounts directly from the Bible yourself.  :)

Thanks

salaam,

I believe Ahmad Deedat wrote a leaflet/book about Jesus' crucifxion in The Bible, called "crucifiction or crucifixion?". You can likely read it online.

From my Quran studies in terms of what is most likely, it seems that it appeared to them that Jesus had died on the cross, but likely became unconcious/fainted. He then probably lived a period after before dying.

Not only does the above fit with The Quran, but also explains The Biblical/Christian interpretation of him being raised alive, and its associated myths.

Links available upon request.

w/salaam Talib,

Sorry, I never saw your post.

I made a post here: http://www.salaatforum.com/index.php?id=331

Background:

Please see the following article:
http://www.mostmerciful.com/substitution.htm

THEN also see:
http://www.free-minds.org/jesus-dead-or-alive

Taking the above into account, in terms of what is most likely, it seems that it appeared to them that Jesus had died on the cross, but likely became unconcious/fainted. He then probably lived a period after before dying.

Not only does the above fit with The Quran, but also explains The Biblical/Christian interpretation of him being raised alive, and its associated myths.

I strongly recommend reading the above links and all should be clear.

Side note: Every human being will die and be raised to life again. Please see the use of the word "raise up" (obAAathu), it is commonly used to mean as such. It does not refer to a magical/special resurrection.
e.g. "...if thou wert to say to them, "Ye shall indeed be raised up after death"..." [Yusuf Ali, 11:7]
