General Discussions / Re: Where is wadi al’qura
« on: January 25, 2017, 11:02:43 AM »
Wadi al-Qura is a location north of Medina in Saudi Arabia.[1] Several military expeditions took place there during the time of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. These include the Expedition of Zaid ibn Haritha (Wadi al-Qura), where Muhammad sent Zayd ibn Haritha to survey the area and to monitor the movements of the enemies of Muhammad,[2] as well as the Second Expedition of Wadi al-Qura which Muhammad ordered to raid the inhabitants of Wadi al-Qura for revenge, because a number of Muslims were killed when they tried to raid the inhabitants previously, but failed.[3] During the end of Muhammad's era the Third Expedition of Wadi al Qura was ordered, with the purpose of attacking the Jews of Wadi al-Qura to conquer their land[4]

Recent discoveries of Geonic responsa have shown that there was a Jewish presence in Wadi al-Qura as late as the 11th century CE, and that they maintained correspondence with Rabbi Sherira Gaon and Rabbi Hai Gaon.[5]

There no concept of Shaking hand by Muslim male with a Muslim woman. But even with males people
avoide with fellow males as thousands of Germs pass from one hand to the other so it is advisable not to shake hand but simply Say" Assalam Alaikum"

It may be age old practice but the Muslims also practice as greeting mode of shake hand. But is not applicable in case of Muslim women. Even this practice among Muslims is optional. What Muslims have to do is call Assalam Alaikum.

The Muslims greet Muslims by calling Assalam Alaikum either for male or female Muslim Hand shaking
is optional but with Females is not to do hand shake. This is Muslim norms of greeting.

Salam All, I read Bro Joseph Islam's Article about circumcision which is OK as per Quran but I just
wanted to know as to why the Jews follow this practice? Is this mentioned in Taurah or the practice of the Jews? The members of Forum or Bro Joseph may kindly clarify.

Prophets and Messengers / Re: Are we to follow Duas that Ahadith say?
« on: November 09, 2016, 01:49:09 AM »
You know that the Qur'an is a complete, perfected Book. Allah commanded the exalted Prophet to convey nothing but the Qur'an.

29:45 (O Prophet) convey to people all that is revealed to you of the Book, and establish the Divine System. Establishment of the Divine System will shut off lewdness, stinginess, and bad conduct. This is so, because God’s Law is the Greatest Law that can give you eminence. And God knows whatever you people contrive on your own. [21:10, 21:24, 23:70, 43:43-44, 70:21-27. Fahasha includes miserliness, and Munkar is all behavior that goes against Permanent Values given in the Qur’an]

45:6 These are the verses of God We convey to you with truth. Then, in what HADITH, if not in God and His verses, will they believe?
45:7 Woe to every fabricating impostor! [26:222. This draws our attention to forged Ahadith]
45:8 (The impostor) who hears God’s verses conveyed to him, yet he is haughtily obstinate, as though he never heard them. So, announce to him grievous punishment.
45:9 For when he learns anything of Our verses, he belittles them. Theirs is a humiliating punishment in store.

Bros my main point is that the Prophet is supposed to teach Quran and not the Dua other than Quran
and I hope Bro Joseph Islam may give his remarks on this. Let us wait

My point is that is the Prophet  supposed to teach us Dua which is not Quran because the Prophet  is  supposed to teach the Quran not other than Quran.

Prophets and Messengers / Are we to follow Duas that Ahadith say?

My grandson gave following Dua to recite:-
Make this dua constantly

اللهم لا تسلط علينا من لا يرحمنا
'Oh Allah, do not appoint over us those who do not have mercy upon us. when I asked him if this Dua
is as per Quran he said it is in Hadith Tirmizi. As per my knowledge the prophet never told  Ummah to
recite any thing other than Quran. What is the opinion of our Forum members ? Thanks for sharing.
