General Discussions / Some Questions
« on: February 20, 2013, 04:34:39 AM »
Peace be upon you.

Could you give some answer for the following questions:

1.
"Nor say of anything, "I shall be sure to do so and so tomorrow"-
Without adding, "So please Allah!" and call thy Lord to mind when thou forgettest, and say,
"I hope that my Lord will guide me ever closer (even) than this to the right road."" - 18:23-24, Yusuf Ali.

What does the above verses tell?

2. Can we pray as much as we want or is it better to pray as much as may be easy for us (73:20 - but I'm not really sure about it's meaning)?

I'm sorry for posting such a absurd questions. In addition I haven't provided you with enough information.
I've read an article about Islamic eschatology which claims that the Moon is moving away from the Earth and I was hungry to find more science about the end days. Here, read this for more details about the Moon's fate:

http://www.space.com/3373-earth-moon-destined-disintegrate.html

Now. I think the first sign of the end days would be splitting of the Moon (maybe some pieces will rain down on Earth's surface):
"The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder.
But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say, "This is (but) transient magic."" - 54:1-2.

"When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up;" - sounds like the Sun will be transformed into red giant.

Peace be upon you.

While some Muslims talk about dajjal, rising the sun from the west etc. I can't understand (scientifically) these verses about end days from the Quran (Yusuf Ali translation):

"The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder.
But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say, "This is (but) transient magic."" - 54:1-2.

"When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up;
When the stars fall, losing their lustre;
When the mountains vanish (like a mirage);" - 81:1-3.

"When the Sky is cleft asunder;
When the Stars are scattered;
When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth;" - 82:1-3.

"He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
At length, when the sight is dazed,
And the moon is buried in darkness.
And the sun and moon are joined together,-
That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?"" - 75:6-10.

69:13-16; 44:10.
There are probably more...
Do you know their chronological order? In addition do you have some scientific explanation of how it could happen?

Thank you all for your responses.

To follow things, by associating to Islam, without knowledge makes your life difficult and makes it harder for unbelievers to accept Islam. It should remain as matter of choice. In my opinion if you want to make an unbeliever to believe, you have to think like unbeliever. It is an good art of convincing.

I agree with you Joseph. Just to be secure, it is good idea to perform ablution. I just wanted to be sure that there was nothing in the Quran about this.

Kind regards,
Haji

Peace be upon you.

In this page, http://quransmessage.com/forum/index.php?topic=675.msg2507#new, it is told that "passing wind" does not break wudu (ablution) according to Quran and remains as matter of choise.

Does sleeping, fainting or diziness break wudu (not speaking about wet dreams and such) according to Quran?

Kind regards,
Haji

A good answer. Thanks for your response. But it still remains a mystery to me. May God give them a rich reward.

Peace be upon you!

According to Quran, people who strive will be better rewarded than those who do not strive:

"Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed: The seal thereof will be musk: and for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:" (83:25-26, Yusuf Ali)

What about people who can not strive? For example: a child who dies in a car crash or those who can not think normally (due to sickness). Do they have no chance to achieve such reward?

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Haji

Discussions / God protects
« on: January 08, 2013, 01:07:34 AM »
Peace be upon you.

Let me tell you about my (possibly) supernatural experience. One night, lying on my bed, i was pondering over how did God create us in truth. Suddenly, nasty thoughs come up from no where. I though: "It must be invisible evil being whispering to me". Then I said: "In the name of God, the most Gracious, the most Merciful. I seek Your protection from the devil which is accursed". After that I was almost unable to visualise those nasty things for some minutes. I could only see some parts of my nasty thoughs' silhouettes. In addition, it was also hard to visualise.

Next day, I'm lying on my bed at night and the same nasty visions suddenly come upp from no where again. I prayed God to protect me from the devil and same experince happened to me as yesterday. I still could see parts of its' silhouettes. Then I said: "Oh my Lord, could you remove (completely) these thoughs for a moment?". My jaw dropped  :D. I tried to visualise those nasty thoughs but couldn't. I tried again and again; but still it wasn't possible. It was completely dark when i tried to visualise. I felt like my eyes were bound by a black veil. I just couldn't see (visualise) anything att all.

Here are verses which may explain why it did work: 16:98-99; 6:112 and surah 114. It turns out that our thoughs heavily affected by God and by "the invisible evil beings". God wants to protect us.

Yeah, this sounds like fairytale. In addition, there is a chance for it to be a coincidence and remember that God does what He wills. Therefore I need your help. Did you experienced something similar? (I'm sorry if this is not the right place to ask such question.)

Kind regards,
Haji

Dear Joseph,

Alright, I may undersand. Let us say, for example, I'm going to WC and my hands get dirty. Then why one have to wash his feet and head when they aren't dirty? Only hands and private parts that should be cleaned. That's the only logic i see.

Just, one more question. Could you give som details about prophet Muhammeds (pbuh) ablution, if it is not hard for you.

Kind regards,
Haji

Dear Joseph,

Thanks for your correction.

Yeah, I though the same thing. But somehow it sounds wrong to me. Think the moment when you have washed yourself and performed prayer, then 20 minutes later, you have to wash yourself again for the next prayer, even though you are clean. The only reason I know is that God tells us that he wants to purify us.
What about prophets as Jesus and Moses  (pbut)? Did they perform ablution?
Did prophet Muhammed (pbuh) also perform ablution before every prayer?
I'm just curious.

Kind regards,
Haji

Salam alejkum!

Concerning the question about ablution:
Alright, it's seems to be unnecessary to perform ablution when you pass gas, urinate etc. But when and how often do we have  to perform ablution then? At what circumstances? I just can't find the answer in the two verses, 5:6 and 4:43, where ablution is mentioned. So frustrating or i'm just too blind to see it. Could you give me some explanation?

Kind regards,
Haji

Salam alejkum!

@QM Moderator
Thank you.

@Sardar Miyan
I would like to see a clear proof from Quran for your claims or an convincing logical answer. It's hard to believe when you have little knowledge. But thanks for your answer anyway.
Concerning the first question, I've already found explanation in the forum. No answer is required.

Peace!
