Salmmun Alaykum Zafreen,

Here are great articles on this matter.

http://quransmessage.com/articles/fasting%20till%20night%20FM3.htm

http://quransmessage.com/articles/fasting%20and%20ramadan%20FM3.htm

Indeed, 20 hours is long, but one is commanded to unless traveling, illness... even that, we are commanded to repeat the days missed, if one does not fast the days missed we are commanded than to do "Fidya", this is feeding of a needy person.

God comes before family.. Actually it is very hard given the long hours, but the 3rd or 4th day, one gets use to it, well I should speak for myself.

Hope these articles BJ wrote helps answer more to your question.

Salaam Anwar,

I do not have a need to Justify anything, My mind is absolutely made up because I would never dispute what is absolutely clear from my Creator. You believe what you want to and I will believe what I want to.

Salaam Anwar,

Alcohol of ANY KIND is EXTREMELY forbidden!! After reading your comments, you are trying to justify how it can mean one thing and not the other, justifying it until you start actually believing it is the truth.  If you want to drink, go for it, that is between The Creator and you.
But indicating it DOES NOT mean what it actually is spelled out clearly for us, Maybe you should focus on this verse... 17:36

Salaam.

What is revealed in the following link, calls for a thorough discussion on the subject of hate crimes:

Regards,

Salaam Ismail,

For those who understand the verses in the Quran and the meaning are aware that Islam is only Scripture is the Quran and they are the words of Allah. The site you linked is from a Islam hate site. So of course they will twist things around and even go as far as lying about Islam. It was leaked on some article I read that the people behind the whole Anti-Islam propaganda have spent over 192 million dollars doing so. There is a huge force behind all this and the reason. But many Muslims and non Muslims are realizing this now. For instance, those terrorist in Syria, they are not Sunni vs Shia, those are psychopathic terrorist that are being armed by several countries to do their proxy wars. They might say Allahu Akbar, but they are killing anyone and do not discriminate on race or religion beliefs, women, children, old and young. Eating human flesh and cutting heads... A Muslim knows very well that these are grave sins and not part of Islam in any way or form, nor in the Quran which is the only Authorized Scripture for Islam. Even those who follow the hadith know this is a grave sin.  Most if not 90% of these terrorist are Atheist as well is what we learned. The rest are misguided and have been following Islam blindly and want to over through the Govt. of Syria.

These group of Anti-Islam are being paid a large amount of money, they make careers out of it by writing books, doing speeches etc.  There is also another reason for all this lies and propaganda and who is the ultimate force behind it... I will leave It up to the bloggers on here to search for it. It has nothing to do with anyone of a race or religion but a twisted ideology and hate towards Islam and others who do not view their agenda to be the only way. There is a group also called Hasbara, they get paid to troll lies on social media and blogs. It is very sad but people who follow blindly and get brainwashed why it is okay for it to be done, have gone astray off their beliefs from their scriptures. Muslims need to just stay focused on the True Islam and ignore all this, because Allah at the end will be the ultimate judge...

Discussions / True Islam vs Misguided Extremist
« on: April 18, 2014, 01:15:12 AM »
Salaam Aliakum everyone,

I watched a Nightly News special last night, and I have to say it was EXTREMELY troubling and scary.

http://abc.go.com/shows/nightline/listing/2014-04/15-nightline-416-hate-next-door-english-defense-leagues-war-against-radical-islam

I think it is important to Muslims who understand the True meaning of Islam and what the Quran really says to get involved with their authorities and lobby them to make changes to their laws concerning these dangerous extremist. Although on this News series the extremist were saying that they were born in UK, there needs to be more stricter laws. In my beliefs and understanding from what Br. Joseph wrote in different articles, this would fit under Mishief/Fasid on the land. Muslims need to lobby their local government's to change the laws and make it that they would have these extremist exile the country if they continue, or get severe punishment such as life in prison.

This clown Ajaum Choudry, or whatever his name is, is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and I have no idea where he and his blind following clowns get their information from about what they are preaching about Islam.  I am extremely surprised that the UK would allow these blind crazy clowns to walk the streets and do what they are doing...

It is time for True Muslims to take action and put these evil people away in a cage or exile them before a blind unintelligent person believes their teaching and gets brainwashed in a web of false teachings and end up hurting or killing people.

I would do exactly that if this was happening in the U.S. We do not have that here, I thank God, and I do not ever see it happening here because I personally among many Muslims would do everything we can to get these evil extremist locked up or better yet, exiled out of the country.

Just a thought, that as True Islam followers, we should NOT allow these scary Evil Misguided Monsters to spread false teachings about Islam, We should Lobby or push our Governments change the laws against this behavior and conduct instead of them targeting innocent Muslims who are the opposite of these Misguided fools.

Salaam

Salamun Alaikum Munir Rana,

Allah does not burden a soul beyond its ability as mentioned many times in the Quran. Most importantly, Allah knows your capabilities and truly what is in your heart.

I would imagine every mosque would have chairs, and many do use them who are not able to stand up, bow or prostate.

In my opinion is very permissible, I know someone who Is on a bed 24/7 on life support for the past 5 years who even is unable to talk, or move at all, but is awake and prays to Allah from their heart when ever she hears the Azan.

Salaam Sarder,

It is about mainly blind following what was told to them, taught to them and guidance imparted for the living and before the Day of Judgment.  Verse 5:105 goes along with the previous verse, 5:104.

5:104 And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger," they say, "Sufficient for us is that upon which we found our fathers." Even though their fathers knew nothing, nor were they rightly guided.

5:105  O you who have believed, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves/souls. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided. To Allah is you return all together; then He will inform you of what you used to do.

This is my opinion how I have come to understand it.

Salaam Hamzeh,

I just read Brother Josephs article about "Ahmad" in the Bible after I commented.
Indeed he wrote a GREAT article with precise information and possibilities.

But I do still stand with the name Ahmad being prophet Muhammad. If you go to Surat 36, Ya Sin. It also is prophet Muhammad Allah is referring to. Reading beginning of the Aya's and throughout, Allah is addressing the individual at many times who received the Holy Quran, which is Prophet Muhammad.

At the very end, we know what the Quran says and believe in it. As Allah says throughout the Quran one can believe or not believe. We need Him, He created us, and does not need us.

p.s If you watch Passion of Christ, the film is in Aramaic language and you can here Ahmed being said when he is washing the feet of the disciples. He says Manahma.

Arabic, Hebrew and Aramaic languages are all Semitic languages which have a unique vocabulary system. Verbs and nouns have a three-consonant "root," meaning every word with those three consonants is conceptually related. You here him say God, in the language they are speaking that almost sounds as Allah. All the Arab Christians and Arab Jews always refer to God as Allah in Arabic.

Again, BJ article says it all. Whether people accept it or not, is their own decision.

Salamun Alaikum Hamzeh,

Verse 61:6 Allah tells us what Jesus says.

Now the Gospels that Jesus preached is in Syriac..  Which is pronounced "Manahma".

There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus was NOT referring to Gods presents. Nor the Holy Spirit, Christians think the Holy Spirt is one of the three of the Trinity which is linked to God, Which is certainly not true.

"Hi Abbsrayray.  I dont think we can just say Ahmad is short for Muhammad. Though Ahmad may be a possible referance to him. But no one would of known that till the presence of Muhammad(pbuh) came to life. "

The name Ahmed IS referring to prophet Muhummed, there is absolutely no uncertainty about that. Why?

1. Allah says it in the Qur'an, and I believe Allah's word over anyone, it is not a case of maybe one is not understanding the verse and what it's meaning is. Verse 61:6 it is a straight forward self explanatory meaning.

2. There was NO other prophet that was after Prophet Issa besides Prophet Muhummed. God says that throughout the Qur'an, that Prophet Muhummed was the seal of the prophets and that he came after Jesus.

I do not think it discredits Islam, Now in a rational respectful way, people of different faiths and beliefs should be able to refer to verses in their scriptures that did in fact come from God without getting offended or troubled about it.

How can it be that Islam be implying a deity to prophet Muhummed? Because we say what Allah says in the Qur'an? But the bible says Holy Spirit which is reference to God?

As for the disciples did not write it down, I do not agree with that. Why? Because Allah is telling us what's is in the Torah and Injil. He certainly would not have mentioned "Ahmed" about Prophet Muhummed if it was not in the Bible. That is my belief thou, from me pondering on these verses and throughout the Qur'an listening to these ayas many many times.
Remember that the Qur'an also is for the people of the kitab before Prophet Muhummed who have been told all this, so that they might take heed.

The only thing that is difficult and too bad is the original Gospels text in the Language prophet Issa left, is not around or there is no record of it. (This is based on what was researched by Christian scholars)

It comes down to this in my view, It really does not matter if it is obvious in the Torah or Injil. Whoever want to believe, believe, whoever does not want to, do not have to, it is their right and choice either way, as Allah tells us.
What is so great about Allah is, He, gives people signs and revaluations and they are to believe in what they want.
Lets just say, Allah/God has been extremely merciful on the human race by several scriptures and Prophets/Messengers with warnings over and over again. In reality, He easily could have decided to have one scripture sent to us and one prophet, but that was not His plan..

I am so against people who try to convert others, whether it is Muslims, Judaism or Christians. Though we see it more from Muslims and Christians.  People should talk about their beliefs and why their scripture say what they say, but the whole, convert or your going to hell whether it is Muslims or Christians saying that is not okay with me. Someone who believes and raised in Christianity all their life, simply is not going to drop their faith that they believe in and follow Islam, same with Muslims..

Salaam,

Ahmed is short for Muhammad.
Just like the name Abed is short for Abduallah.

chapter 36 of the Quran,  "Yaseen"  is another name of Muhammad as well. Listen to the verse from the beginning.  God is directly talking to Yaseen, it can't be anyone else as Prophet Muhammad was the only one who the Quran was revealed to.

Salmon Alum Brother Joseph,

Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together and respond to my question.

To sum it up, I know what Allah says about a certain issue, and if I go ahead and do it anyway (MANY people do this, and ask Allah for forgiveness and repent after they knew the true message about it, but go ahead and so it anyway. I highly doubt Allah will forgive them as He knows what the person is thinking at all times anyways, I seriously DO NOT thing many Muslims thought this example and word “Kufir” was a message for all humanity not non Muslims) where I, know for certain, Allah said, otherwise, that is considered "kufir"?

Man oh man... lots of Muslims are in deep trouble.. I am so glad Alhumduillah I fear Allah on everything I say or do, that is why I asked about this, I had a feeling, this among several other verses mentioning Iblis and not mentioning him, was verses by Allah sharing with us, of the past to also use as an example for us not to do... May Allah reward you Brother for taking time,  writing your articles and putting together your website.. I have truly become a true mum’mina and fear Allah to the core now that I see the truth of Islam and what Allah is telling us..

Thanks Again.. Article was really well done!  :)

Salaam

Is that a question for me?

Salmun Alaikum Hamzah,

Maybe I should clarify, Allah is the ONLY author of the Quran and His other Scriptures. Allah is the ONLY one who has the AUTHORITY to the words being said in the Qur'an. Where I was coming from is, since we know that Gabriel being on of Allah's Authorized agents, if you will, along with other angels and messengers, Allah of course tells him what revaluation/verses/chapters to reveal to Prophet Muhammad. So without Allah's command, it would not be said. So typically Allah remains the Author, the messengers, angels, Gabriel, Mekaeel and others are only acting as Allah's servants/helpers.. He is the King and He tells them what to say. I just say Brother Josephs article, Yes, I think he pinned it down...

Astaghfer Allah if I misspoken, May Allah forgive me, it came out wrong...

As for just out of curiosity in the verse 18:86 when its mentioned "WE SAID" are you thinking that's refers to Zul Qurnain . and is that why you asked if prophets can be having a access to a divine assembly?

"We Said" Yes, it refers to whoever Allah authorized to communicate to Dhul-Qarnayn. Or if you are asking does the "WE SAID" meaning "Dhul-Qarnayn" as the we said, No, It is Allah saying we said to him, referring to Dhul-Qarnayn, when whoever was communicating with him, and yes, as Allah's servants who were authorized to say whatever Allah tells them to.

Allah is still the Authority and the one that commands His helpers what to say and do, so everything is still is Allah's authority.
I know prophets did have access to divine authority, because throughout the Qur'an, Allah speaks about the communications between either Allah himself, such as with Prophet Moses, or through one of Allah's Messengers, Angels, Gabriel and the others.

Was anyone else able to communicate with Allah's helpers? Well, that is why I am still pondering, so much information. I found that King Talut was appointed from Allah, he was not a prophet from what I know according to the Qur'an. So whomever Allah appoints and authorized to be a King, Prophet, whoever, Allah has communication with them through His angels, Gabriel, messengers, or ways mentioned about others in the Qur'an.
I was leaning towards King and prophet Salomon because of several other things that Allah tells us about him, that in the verses in different chapters the language and iron/copper, which is mentioned in Chapter 18 but not saying Prophet Salomon name. This is the reason why people ponder, I am not saying it is him who Allah is saying that is, I am just pondering and discovering... I may certainly be wrong and way off. To me it is not really important to a place, or individual (s) name, to me it really does not matter, it is more about the message and example of the stories Allah is telling us that I might be able to take as an example to do things in my life that will please Allah. That is really all, but I will say I enjoy so much studying the Qur'an and challenging myself to understand it and finding out just because it is the words of my creator and I can never be bored or say I had enough.

because if thats the case, I think you lost the transition where the Quran is talking about him then takes you to what Allah said to him(either through the mediums or inspiration I don't know). and then 18:87 Zul Qurnain replies back to 18:86

Yes, you are right, I know that, I was referring to the entire Qur'an in general..

Again, I only am pondering, Allah knows who the person He is referring to, I am always careful though because I do not want to say Allah says this and that and be wrong, I am too scared of Allah to do that and that is why I say my opinion or thinking, and not what Allah says unless I am without doubt the message is clear and straight forward with given information.

Yes, brother I am fully aware the Qur'an was revealed in parts to Prophet Muhammad... Allah tells us that in verses 25:32 and 17:106...
