Dear Brother Joseph,
Salamun Alaikum . I gone through your significant thread about Zakat and understand there is no fixation on Zakat for Muslim .
My question is I am paying income tax to the government . Is Zakat and Salah Farj for any individuals or any community ?
Since Quran mentioned for Zakah and Salah simultaneously so is it the compulsory for a government to established Zakat and Salah ?
If the Chief of the State Non Muslim ( Disbeliever)  then how a Muslim  ( Believer ) can establish Salah and Zakat ?  If Zakat means Tax on income then will it be okay for a Muslim when Government is not a Muslim  ? Sadaka is different and any Muslim can spend any amount to the specific ground what Quran specified already . But about Zakah there is no mention ( may be )  where  it should be spent .
Is Zakat Farj against idle preserved ornament ( gold) belong to a spouse ? Many Muslim teacher here give a "Fatoa" that Zakah must be paid on idle gold which preserved at home belonging a women . I can not justify this concept in the light of  Quran .

Please make me clear to follow the instructions from God .

General Discussions / Can I say "Peace be upon you " to a non Muslim ?

Dear Brother Joseph ,
Salamun Alaikum ,
Can I say "Peace be upon you " to a non Muslim ? Is  "As-sala Mualikum " mentioned in the Quran ?
I need a clear concept on this thread .

Dear Brother Joseph ,
Salamun Alaikum . It is very commonly seen that we many Muslim spend money for sake of  the dead persons like for one's father or relatives  . This money is spent for charity , or  reform mosque , or  feeding poor , or festival among the relatives and neighbors so that departed soul stay in peace in the grave ( Quran not mentioned for the punishment in the grave )  or accountability of the dead person will be easy to God in the day of Judgement .  Per my knowledge Quran's only allow to pray for the dead ( janaja salah ) .  My question is there any explicit verse or verses to approve this kind of practice when all the spent for sake of dead persons can change the fate of the dead person in the Day of judgement ? If time permit you pls put your thought .

Thank you .

Dear Brother Joseph ,
Salamun Alai Kum .  I myself  believe and ther is no doubt that Quran is the scripture from God . But for non believers how I can proof when I can not keep traditional belief on Hadith and four Khalips . We know complete Quran as a book furnished by Hazrat Usman .
I hope you can refresh my mind to understand this topic.

Many Muslims says without Hadith we can not understand Quran clearly and they take help of 2nd book where God question to believers/nonbelievers  for accepting other book than Quran .

Since Mohammed ( PUBH) not present now in 21th century so how we can understand Quran without Hadith ?

I am accepting that there are many contradictory hadith with Quran . But if there had not been any contradiction between hadith and Quran then would there have been logic to accept Hadith to understand Quran when God clearly mentioned " what other book you prefer than Quran" or Quran is the book where everything is in detailed and easy " ?

Please make me clear .

General Discussions / Punishment in the grave
« on: March 14, 2019, 08:24:51 PM »
Dear Brother Joseph
Salamun Alaikum ,
Brother  I have gone through your article " Punishment in Grave " and understand that there is no mention of such type of punishment before the day of resurrection . Sometimes Many Muslims Quote the verse ( 102:1 )  from Sura AT TAKA SUR " AL HAKU MUTTAKA SURU HATTA JURUTU mulma quber " Here I got "Quber" means after the die . not specifically meaning that the place where any one is buried .
If translate in English it mean grave . So the meaning of the verse stand " you will know the truth soon  after the die (grave ?) . Then you see hell "   My question how you will explain this verse in the proof of no punishment in the grave ?

My understanding is since , for all on the Day of Judgement everybody will feel that they just have slept for an hour or a part of the day so God can say in His verse that  it should be a very short time that one will see the hell .

Please make me clear of the above verse .

General Discussions / Hajj is Compulsory for the Believers?
« on: March 14, 2019, 05:45:57 PM »
Dear Brother Joseph ,
Salamun Alai Kum . I need to know very specifically if one not perform Hajj evan he has the capacity of performing Hajj at least once in his earthly  life ? Or in which conditions  it is compulsory for one to be performed Haj ? We are seeing many Mulims performing Haj not only once but also several times in every year and spend huge money  to perform Haj when in his locality many poor , neighbor are in huge crisis and he never work on mankind in his locality . I do not know on what basis or condition God established Haj to a man or women ?

Now Many Muslims do perform Haz 2 times 3 times or more and in Saudi Arabia is organizing this holy Haj convention by a commercial thinking . Some can stay at big hotel and  some can  stay in very contested area  as they have no capacity to spend days with luxurious. I am afraid of really Haj now is prevailing is the exactly what God has prescribed to believers ?

Also It will be great help for me if any one on this forum can give me answer .

Islamic Duties / SACRIFICING ANIMALS FOR THE GIVING BIRTH A CHILD
« on: June 27, 2018, 07:14:05 PM »
Dear Brother Joseph
As Sala Mualikum . We are observing  in Muslim community that people prescribe for sacrificing animals for giving birth a new child .
They prescribe for a birthing a male child  two goats  to be slaughtered and to be distributed to the needy or festival among the neighbors and relatives . For giving birth a female child  1 goat is sectioned . My question is Quran prescribe this type of practice ? If yes then what will be the poor family who has no capacity to buy the goats .  It is very hard for me to believe that Quran prescribe this type of practice which may create the force income to do this practice for the poor . Or any general practice Quran never prescribe different for the rich and poor like prayer . Pls take me out off the dark .

Thank you.

Islamic Duties / PERMENANT BIRTH CONTROL
« on: June 02, 2018, 07:20:52 PM »
Dear Brother Joseph Islam,
As-Salamualikum ,

Hope you are in peach and happiness by the grace of the God.
I am in big problem . I can not take decision if I should have my wife to restrict permanently for birth a child .
She already gave birth 3 child within 12 years our marital life . All the time she had to take surgery at the time of delivery .
Her health will never allow for conceiving intentionally or unintentionally in the future . She has high pressure and physically not remain good all the time . Though we were practicing temporary birth control method but it may cause for incident again . When situation like this
should I have my wife to take permanent protection of not conceiving any more . Pls give me your humble thought in this matter in Quran's perspective.

Islamic Duties / ZAKAT
« on: May 31, 2018, 05:57:52 PM »
Dear Brother Joseph Islam,
As-Salamualikum ,

Per my study and review your many articles and answer on Jakat it seems to me Zakat should be collected by the government of certain community . It is not something that can be distribute to any needy person by any individual. It is also understand that there is no specific percentage of the asset or income is designated to give Zakat for a person . But in the Quran in many places says for Salat and Zakat together . When my government is not stand on Quranic decision to direct the society so what I should follow the verse about Zakat . Pls advise your opinion how I can fix the amount for Zakat and to distribute .

Dear Brother Joseph
Salamun Alaikum ,

Does Quran make mandatory unequal proportional distribution of the assets/wealth of a father among his children ? is really sanctioned doubled to male child than a female child ? If it is already specified then why the need to make a will when death approach for a man ?
Actually I need very clear idea of Quranic laws to distribute the assets/wealth among to the children of a man/father . If unequal proportion is allowed to make a will for a father when death approach then Quran describe any logic to face the challenge of the concept of judgement between man and women of the world judgement /rulled ? . I will be glad if you find some time for me and I will be grateful to you forever .

Q&As with Joseph Islam - Information Only / Salat / Prayer ( 5 times)
« on: April 19, 2018, 08:26:38 PM »
Dear Brother Joseph
As-sa-la-mu-ali-kum

I have read your articles regarding 5 times salat . I did not any specific Ra-kat  of each time of Salat .
Just Share me how many Rakats you personally for yourself follow . You must not be responsible if anybody follow your sunnah.
and I make sure you I will not hold you responsible in the Day of Judgement for anything I follow you is wrong .

Dear Brother Joseph ,
As-sa-la-mu-ali-kum,

Since my childhood I have been hearing that Jannah will be sanctioned to a person is on parent's leg or for a women is on Husband leg.
That means if  parent's not satisfied on their child or if a husband not satisfy or disappointed on his wife  in that case no person or wife can not be sanctioned Jannah . I have got this type of statement in Islamic secondary sources .  I will be glad if you can give me a clear perspective of Quran .
