Walaikum salaam brother,
In response to the assertion, we must ask some obvious questions.
If
"Dhikr"= Quran + something else, then why does the Quran say:
006.155 "And this is a Book which We have revealed as a blessing: so follow it (Arabic: fa-ittabi'uhu) and fear (God) / be righteous so that you may receive mercy" Why does the Quran not mention another source? The above verse forms a clear 'muhkum' narrative with absolutely no ambiguity.
045:006"These are the verses of God that We recite to you with truth. Then in what 'Hadith' (statement / narrative) after God and His 'Ayat' (verses) will they believe?"
This is a simple matter of burden of proof and 'muhkam' verses over interpretations. The above are clear verses. The brother kindly needs to provide
one clear verse from the Quran which says
'Dhikr' = Quran + 'something else' and not assertions based on questionable interpretations.
In verse 75:19, the Quran simply says
'inna alayna bayanahu' which approximately translates as
'indeed, upon us is to make its meaning clear'. So in essence, the Prophet is simply being informed, that God will provide the Quran's exposition, its implications and how to apply it to different situations. One verse can potentially be applied in two different circumstances and produce two different outcomes. This forms part of 'hikmah' which all prophets were inspired with.
Now, it is quite another matter to assert that 75:19 is a reference to books compiled by later authorities with all their contradictions, centuries after the death of the Prophet. For example, Imam Bukhari allegedly did not complete his compilation until 846 CE (After approx. 225 years after the death of the Prophet).
So the focus remains with clear verses over 'interpretations'.
Please find below an article which presents clear verses from the Quran which negate the authority of any other source.
GOD HAS WARNED BELIEVERS TO ONLY FOLLOW THE QURANhttp://quransmessage.com/articles/god%20has%20warned%20believers%20to%20only%20follow%20the%20quran%20FM3.htm I hope that helps, God willing.
