Is the fire of Gehenna an allegory?

Is the fire of Gehenna/Jahannum an allegory? Or is it to be taken literally?

Yes Bro.The Fire of Jahannum is very much real..Allah created the humans for test by giving them the FREE  WILL.No creation of Allah has got Free Will except humans.On the day of judgement all the humans will resurrected and questioned about what they did in the world in light of guidance given to them through messengers.
