Is the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible accurate ?
« on: November 14, 2016, 06:31:07 AM »
Is the story of Adam and Eve in the bible accurate from a Quranic perspective ?

For example, why did a serpent deceive Adam and Eve and not the Devil like in the Quran ?

Does [4:1]
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate

Refer to Eve being created from Adam's rib ?

Thank you in advance.

I'm afraid I don't 100% understand your question. The creation narratives (like most of the narratives) of the Bible and Quran are generally congruent, but contain some minor differences.
In general Christian (though not Jewish) scholarship the serpent that seduced Eve is percieved to be the embodiment of Satan.
See article: http://quransmessage.com/articles/eve%20and%20the%20rib%20of%20adam%20FM3.htm for your second question.
