Buying a Plot of Land for Burial

Dear Br. Joseph,

Assamu Alaikum.   I know some people bought their own plot where they wish to be buried after their death.  Is it right to do so ?

In my humble opinion, this is not a religious matter but a personal preference.

Of course no soul knows where and in which country they will die (31:34). However, the matter of the place of burial of the body is a choice and arguably not governed by Quranic decree.
