Prophet's order that one had to record some event for a Sahabi

On one occasion the prophet asked some Sahabi to write something for another Sahabi. Does this writing is part of Hadeedh as no future Mohaddis has narrated but during the life of prophet ?
May entire creation be filled with Peace & Joy & Love & Light
