I see nought but equivocation !

Define QA. حلال (using your so-called reason), or spare me the paronomasia.

Ps. Slavery is out of the question as it contradicts the main message of the Quran: being a servant/slave to G-D alone !

Say what, again ?!!

Marrying animals is halal (=allowed by G-D) ?!?!

You must be outta your mind, attributing gibberish to G-D ! :/

Salute @Seraphina,

You're missing the point !

I'm not arguing in favor of zoofilia or whatnot, but against the notion that "EVERYTHING" which's not mentioned as "haram" in the Quran is therefore "halal" = this is a fallacious deduction !

The point is, G-D has also specified what is halal, and thus, when mentioning what is haram, one should also mention what is halal in contrast ~ to see the full picture !

Natheless, your translation of 42:11 makes it sound like the Quran advocates human-cattle couples ! Giggle*

"The Originator of the heavens and the earth; He made mates for you from among yourselves, and mates of the cattle too, multiplying you thereby; nothing like a likeness of Him; and He is the Hearing, the Seeing." (42:11)

Ps.

Withal, by your logic, just because G-D didn't explicitly forbid marrying animals, it should be considered/labeled "halal" !!!

Well....all things that are not mentioned as being Haram, are, by default, Halal.
Everything which is not declared as Haram or "not Halal" in the Quran is Halal, ...

Ye get the point ²

Salute @Hassan, A.H.A, all

Well....all things that are not mentioned as being Haram, are, by default, Halal.
Everything which is not declared as Haram or "not Halal" in the Quran is Halal, ...

But, the list of haram on its own is incomplete.
The list of halal must be included to see the full picture.

E.g., halal in marriage ? Ie. Who am i allowed to marry ?!?

Answer: المومنت from المحصنت andor ملك اليمين
+ do we correctly identify these two categories in our daily life ?!

Ye get the point.

then logically u are saying that wet dreaming is pornography and its a sin!

Negative (ignoratio elenchi) !

Wet dreams aren't synonymous with the act of mastrubation !
The later requires a conscious effort, the choice being yours.

Did u read my whole post? Where in my post i supported porn and porn industry? There are certain type of illiterate people who guess others comment outta nothing and make bad comments and rulings on islam. For such kind of people, islam is now questionable. You are one of them!

Of course you wouldn't openly support the porn industry ! You just support mastrubation, as if it doesn't get supplemented with pornographic imagery (whether visual or formed in the mind) !

Salute @Sstikstof,

Do you lower your gaze when mastrubating (on porn) ?!

Doesn't 7:27 condemn the porn industry ?!

How is the pathetic act of mastrubation not included in 6:151, 7:33 ?!

The guilt and shame one feels shortly thereafter ain't no meaningless coincidence.

hicham9:
  • Can you stop making sweeping statements then disappear from the thread. You state that
'The Qurān is a book of facts, not fiction.' yet have not provided any proof from the Quran as to what jinn are.
  • Joseph however has and you seemed irked when another forum member requested you read his article on the matter!
  • One liners are not appreciated here so as a moderator, I will be monitoring your posts and if I deem them to be time wasting I will remove you from this forum.
  • You state:"Thanks but, I'd rather learn directly from the clear, Arabian Qurān."
Then what are you doing here airing your views? Why should we listen to you when you don't want anyone else to listen to Joseph or others?

Salute @TS

There's nothing wrong with me sharing my personal understanding,
whether one-liners or not !

If ye truly seek proof from the Qurān that الجن and الانس are epithets used of humans, then plz study the Qurān on your own, objectively, instead of asking me to point out the obvious, 72:6.

I meant no disrespect, i just dislike spoon-feeding others!
I'm but an apprentice with a homework. The Teacher is G-D.

Ps. If you wish to remove me from the forum, then plz go ahead and do so :)

Here's how a جني looks like.

29
It doesn't matter, description is important not the name/title. The way the Quran describes them, it looks like they are different than humans.

I beg to disagree.

For instance:
We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape; Q[15:27]
And the Jinn, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind. Q[15:28]

The term used in 15:27 is NOT جن ~ but جان  !!!

Learn the difference, brother.

And we [the Jinn] pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. Q[72:8]
'We used, indeed, to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush. Q[72:9]

Contextomy
& misconstruction.

These are humans talking,
not "genies" (as you were taught by sunnis).

Why do you think this word is an adjective rather than a noun?

Because, to my knowledge, the term is used as an epithet in the Qurān.

What noun in English do you see as the equivalent of QA. جن  ?

Plz don't say "genie" !
